Really been enjoying your content! I've noticed when grabbing crays that you prefer an overhand grab rather than under, why's that?
@WettieNZ3 жыл бұрын
I do mix it up a bit depending on situation. But due to the way Crayfish feelers and horns naturally angle up, this typically provides more room to grab under and less likely to touch their feelers on the way in for the grab. I'm trying to by pass the feelers as quick as possible to not trigger them to shoot back wards.

Great commentary on a very nice video as usual. Could you give us the specs on the gun you were using considering you are on a single band? Band and shaft diameter, gun length? Thx!

I mostly use a Wettie Reef Pro carbon, single 16mm rubber, 7mm shaft, 30m Snapper reel. Light, manoeuvrable and very accurate. Perfect set up for most of the spearing we get in NZ.

Another fantastic clip. Curious you've gone back to the d4f over the descent?

Use my D4 a fair bit as its smaller and more comfortable.

How long do you dive for like how many minutes under the water

Do you need to do recovery breathing after your dive?
@WettieNZ3 жыл бұрын
Just slow natural breathing to stay relaxed and avoid hyperventilation.

Hey bro, is that a rubber band around your spear tip? Is it meant to make the spear go straight?
@WettieNZ3 жыл бұрын
It keeps flopper closed until firing. Helps with accuracy as it keeps shaft streamline. Works well.
