I'm an Audi owner (3.0 Supercharged) and don't usually watch BMW videos, but yours appeared in my algorithm , and just have to say, if I bought an M3, I'd want to mod it to look basically just like yours. I love your choices, everything from the wheel choice to the stance, fitment and even colour of car and brakes callipers. Amazing looking car man!

I've owned five BMWs I have put well over 100,000 miles on each one of them I've never had any problems with any of them besides my 330ci fuel pump went out underneath the backseat took me about an hour $75 that's it out of five..... I can only speak on 3 Series with the inline 6 best power plant ever extremely reliable...... I really don't know why so many people have problems I don't I think it's a lot of kids end up with these cars and it's to the floor every time they take off maybe that's what it is kids get ahold of these cars and beat the crap out of them with no maintenance...... Thing is people will go out and buy a BMW but don't have the money to maintain it you got to take care of it just like any other car very easy to change your oil but you got to do and don't pay to have it done changing the oil is literally the simplest thing on the planet if you can drain water out of a ice chest you can change your own oil:-) LOL

Good mention on the transmissions! So many people give the DCT hate as an "auto", even though it's far from a normal auto. The best way to figure out which one for you is just to drive both. Bought an e92 m3 in 6mt without the thought of the dct. After a year and everyone raving about the dct I decided to try one out. The upshifts were out of this world giving you a shove in between gears. But the delay on downshifts was awful. (This was setting 5 and gts tune). I’m glad I went with the 6mt although I’m looking at 4.44 gears because I’m not a fan of how long the gearing is.

Very Clean E92 my friend, it looks very OEM plus. I had a 2012 E92 Comp that I sold after three years of ownership. I absolutely loved the high revving 4 liter and the racing nature of the engine in general. It was one of my favorite cars all time and probably should have kept it. I do have a F82 M4 Comp now and I love it as well, it does sound like a shop vac compared to the E92...solid power though. Installed DIY. Trunk rear light malfunction - $130 per side (DIY) Starter motor - $550 + 7 hours labor - it's buried in the heart of the engine. Brake sensor failure. Secondary engine blower (for warmup). Downpipe leak.

Driven both, I used to think I loved this car no matter what, I later learned that if it only came in dct I wouldn’t care about it at all. A lot of the reason I love my m3 is because of the manual, without it, it’s just another car to me. Pushing my m3, ripping through the gears, rev match downshifting and listening to that incredible exhaust creates a unique experience that always makes me smile and doesn’t get old, it feels like I’m playing an instrumental. DCT is the most engaging "automatic-ish" transmission I've ever driven. Since my M3 is my only car, it's nice to be able to have a more relaxing drive through daily commute traffic, but to be able to manually control what you're doing with your car on backroads at the push of a button is convenient. Good and informative video! Just wanted to say that since most people replace the con. rod bearings at higher mileage than you (e.g. 50-60k) it is good to replace the engine mounts at the same time. In the general case there is no additional labour and the original ones are pretty tired by then.

I thought it was interesting that you actually wanted a dual hump. I looked for a single hump because I think it makes the car age faster, but the updated I drive really helps it. The first version looks horrible. One of the cleanest most perfectly modified e92's out there!

Makes the car age faster?? 🧐
@jacobhauenstein
@jacobhauenstein 3 жыл бұрын
@@wiizvrdd when I look at an older screen on the car, it makes the cars age much more apparent than if the car has no screens/infotainment. I guess a better way of saying it is that the screen reminds you of the cars age and technical obsolescence more so than without.

I moved from an e92 330i 2010 to an f36 435i 2015 and this M3 was ‘the one that got away’ for me. I was really close to buying one but am starting a family and just couldn’t justify the trade offs (mileage, maintenance costs). Hopefully one day I can drive or own one because I’m now spending thousands trying add some life in my F36! I miss the handling of my e92 :(

Nice M3 - apart from the way too long chin. I'm also an Audi and Porsche guy - don't normally look at BMW content - nice vid. Auto re-matching is actually really nice. I'm a die hard MT guy and have owned cars like S2000's and MG's and GTI's etc. Every car I've owned has been a manual.. I love doing my own rev matching... but recently I've bought a Porsche that has it and I can say it's actually a really nice feature. Perfect rev matches each time - even when braking lightly.

Great video! I think oil analysis is useful regardless of what type of bearing is in your car. Oil analysis can reveal existing or new emerging issues in your engine that aren't bearing related. Lots of good info in your video though!

Good info.. original owner of 2012 E93 M3, 130k + miles, track duty, and I've never driven it slowly lol.. still on original bearings, I know I should do them but can't help but think even just a tune, exhaust and air filter might be enough to push them to hard? And I just did both idle and fuel breather valve myself (same bouncing idle). Dyi, huge pita but doable

Considering either an e92 M3 or a C63s for my next car. Still contemplating but the M3 seems like the more well rounded choice, and with some mods it'll be a sound monster and very nimble, and it costs less.

Get the c63 AMG S. Have a 2018, and 2 2019. The technology and interior for me personally, wins the overall package compared to the m3. If you want something more fuel efficient (aka slower) get a CLA AMG version, the face lifted interior is even better.
@drogenfeld
@drogenfeld 3 жыл бұрын
@@trcs3079 Under NO circumstances would I ever consider a facelift model C63. They have OPFs, are quiet as shit, have fake interior engine sound and lots of technical bits I don't like or need. If I buy one it'll but pre facelift. Also don't want a CLA since I want a bigger engine and already own a mk7 GTI. I am also taking into account what mods I can do because legality is an issue here and I can't just run a 800hp straight pipe tune, and the C63 has no legal aftermarket downpipes at all, while for the M3 there's a full carbon intake and a valved exhaust with papers that'll sound awesome.

@@idokwatcher2062 That's the thing, not sure if it pays off to buy the well handling M3. Our speed limits are getting lower constantly and tuning is becoming more and more of a sin. C63 would be a better daily too.

@@drogenfeld funny how you disagreed with my comment but then had a partial agreement with the second LOL. in the end, maybe just keep the GTI, more budget friendly. And you're definitely right, my insurances for the c63 is pretty high. I would of gotten the 2014 or under c63 because its proper V8 but the warranty for the 2018 and 2019 made it a bit better. There's nothing technical about them, pretty easy going it you ask me
