The year was 1965. We stood on the brink of change. Change so massive that people said we wouldn’t make it. But we did.
What was it that allowed us to rise above and ride the winds of change?
We believe it’s an unwavering commitment to our pledge. To embrace our differences as one united people, regardless of race, language or religion.
As we progress as a nation, let us go beyond. Not just regardless of the differences we recite in our pledge, but regardless of gender, class and ability too.
Because there’s one thing that hasn’t changed in the last 54 years.
It’s the way we embrace change. Together.
