I have been looking round KZbin to find what I think is the best rendition of the Wexford Carol, and this one is definitely it.

Thank you HF. Is there an arrangement for harp I wonder? How lovely that would be! Merry Christmas.
@harpswellsound7 жыл бұрын
Yes, as to the harp used for the Wessex Carol. Last year I accompanied an Irish friend with an untrained, natural voice singing this. Rustic, compared to the Cambridge Choir, but lovely and convincing in a different way. Merry Christmas to you, AntPDC, and looking forward to a new year of your posts that engage on so many levels. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJC3k5Kpoc2on80

Oh goody, a new Christmas carol I can learn and sing to myself this season. Never heard this one before. Love that third melody line. Love the images - you live in a snowy paradise- especially that wee red-breasted bird in the branches. Merry Christmas!
@AntPDC7 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The red-breasted bird is a British (European) Robin Marc (the "cock-robin" of the nursery rhyme "who killed cock robin"). Merry Christmas!

Thank you Anthony, I was wondering if you’d upload recent snow fall scenes. The red post box in a buff stone wall amidst the snow is beautiful

Thank you evan. It's funny - red post boxes in Britain have become a work of art almost: they just fit into the landscape somehow - are a part of it, just like old K2 Telephone boxes :). Street furniture as art indeed!

It is even more quietly and utterly lovely when people dont muck around and "arrange" it. This isnt the worst I have heard, but everyone seems to put their own stamp on it, when its far more beautiful when kept stark and pure.
