You are right, but i think it is different for Jordan. The first time ut was an infection in his lungs. Maybe since krypton is what makes them weak or ill, for Jordan as hakf human , instead if actually harming him or causing weakness, it can make him sick if he breathes it in, like a virus, but just being around it or hot with it doesn't do much to him, exceot obviously if hit with from a powerful weapon it does enough to knock him back or in this case it was a strong enough weapon to knock him out. Obviously, Jordan isn't as strong as his father, but maybe he has more resistance to what can harm his father. It also seems Jordan doesn't require as much sun fir his powers to be maintained either.
