@Reemo Williams "GOD Actually says" so God has a mouth or some kind of hole that sound comes out? that's the problem with interpretation, there's nothing stopping someone reading into it and finding massively different conclusions. Why is the Judge even talking about GOD in a court hearing!?
@Ignirium
@Ignirium 3 жыл бұрын
@Reemo Williams Deciding for me what i can and can't understand is what i expect from a theist, since theists declare they have access to special knowledge/supernatural truth. I can understand God if I'm willing to challenge logic, accept fallacies, cultivate biases and find patterns - It all develops into a very self supporting belief. I understand god in a lot of ways, mainly as a goal or motivation, something to anchor and begin morality with, because w/o God some believers think there's no basis for morality. I like viewing God as a motivation. I have more respect than you think i do, but it's complicated.

She probably prays and does a lot of soul searching and deep thinking, because I know this Judge cares about the children and the victims. She is amazing though. Sometimes I think the Judge, especially someone like her, has the harder job. I would love to meet this woman of strength and shake her hand and tell her she inspires me. You must not be familiar with the criminal justice system. I've worked in the Florida criminal justice system for 25 years. It is not light on criminals. Your belief that it is goes against reality. More than 95% of people (approximately) take a plea. Many defendants are overcharged from the beginning, some are completely innocent. They are so afraid of going to trial because of the draconian consequences that they opt for the plea. You might be shocked to see the weak evidence that constitutes so many cases. There is a ton more I could write but I don't think anything I could say would convince you.

@@Rabbit.760 Yes. Actually I am a criminal defense attorney so people will say I am biased. But I am friends with many State Attorneys (and some feel the same way). You are correct!!! Imagine being unable to afford the $500 premium on a $5000 bond!!! You sit in jail. The State now has you by the balls. So you take a plea. Sure, the plea may be ADJ CTS (adjudication and credit for time served). Now you are a convicted felon. There are about 100 negative collateral consequences to being a convicted felon. And don't get me started on drug possession where people are addicts. Such people would not be criminalized and would be treated medically in any civilized nation like the countries of Europe for example. Now a person is an addict and possibly has mental illness issues and on top of all of that he becomes a convicted felon. Is this justice? And I am not even a liberal. I am a Conservative!

Yes, however the religious nonsense she said at the end was unnecessary. She represents the government and the government must be neutral when it comes to religious matters no matter what. Even if she "clarified" what she meant it was unnecessary. The criminal will pay with his life for his crimes as he should and that should have been it. If he "finds jesus" in prison so to speak or whatever that would be his business.

Of course the government must remain neutral, this judge is talking about "redemption" and "sins" and hope he gets granted whatever and so on and so forth and that's endorsing a religion which is christianity. This is prohibited in the 1st amendment's establishment clause. She can believe in jesus or in the tooth fairy all she wants but when she represents the government she cannot endorse any of it that's why she felt she had to "cover her tracks" when she said that people can believe all they want or disbelieve but she still went ahead with the religious nonsense after that. Another example of unconstitutional government intrusion is putting up the 10 commandments in public classrooms, that's unconstitutional because it's endorsing a religion over others, that's why the government has to stay out of the religion business that way no one will feel ostracized.

We are all made of energy. A soul is the energy that continues when the body ceases. The energy is deeply embedded in our conscience and gives us our understanding of someones accumulative pain, thoughts, experiences, and resolve to survive to the next life. The soul holds our ultimate beliefs that make us who we are. Some people have a loving and compassionate spirit and others do not. The Judge, in this case, is compassionate and loving of even a sinner, and is broken hearted about the little girls violent treatment, disrespect, and subsequent death. She knows the parents horrific pain and the loss they will contunue to suffer. She probably carries everyones pain within herself. Her soul is tortured by the world and set right by doing her best to bring about fairness and justice for all. That all makes her a valued and incredible human. I know right… When it comes to murder cases, and cases even worse (like this one), I always say that there’s the actual victim of the crime - the one who was murdered, obviously. But they aren’t the only one victim. The parents that lost their child in such a horrible and painful way have been murdered too, a part of them at least. And that applies not just to the parents, but everyone who loved the victim dearly. Losing a loved one is terrible pain in itself, but knowing how much they had to suffer before dying just makes everything so much more painful… And for what…? All for a couple minutes of enjoyment for a sick monster. I hope that the family can recover, as much as possible. I hope they manage to find peace. And this time I sincerely hope that Hell exists, and this monster will eternally rot and suffer in it.

@Bikewithlove 3 жыл бұрын
@@nordvestgaming1238 - I chose to reply to this subject here so at least it won’t be innundated by thousands of other replies. You’re right about the function of the defense attorney in cases like this. Plainly put, someone has to handle the criminal’s paperwork if he’s going to be executed. The approach to defense in a case like this is going to be relatively passive. A defense lawyer doesn’t have to lie, and they can go a long way to persuade the defendant’s acceptance of the situation as you said. There’s a lot that goes on outside of court & there are things to be sorted out, like property, pets, family members, etc. The defense attorney is still a liaison in these cases, otherwise there would just be that much more hardship for the community.
@RashawnBlue1
@RashawnBlue1 3 жыл бұрын
@@nordvestgaming1238 This is wrong, the attorney is supposed to do everything they can to first have charges dropped first and foremost... dependent on the significance of the evidence they counsel the defendant on their chances to defeat a trial. It ultimately is up to the defendant, but attorney have a heavy hand. The next step is dependent on case, to reduce the possible punishment to client may receive. I don't know anything about this case (popped up in YT), so I don't know if this is a paid lawyer or court appointed. I know I would never want a public defender for example because chances are higher, they talk a person into a guilty plea despite whether or not they could defeat a prosecution and just go through the motions if the defendant chose to go to trial. This is in part due to their heavy case load and some of them just being "beginners". If the attorney isn't doing what I mentioned above whether you are guilty or not, whether they think (or know) you are guilty or not, then you have a bad attorney. Yes indeed it does suck to know that one may have actually saved a murderer, rapist, and/or child abuser from punishment, but if the prosecution couldn't prove it to the jury, then so be it. It's the only way we can put some type of (still flawed) safeguards up to prevent wrongful convictions even if it means guilty can go free.

They won’t heal! I know several families that lost children tragically. They take it day by day. But, the family that lost their 12 year old in a similar way to this family, dam near lost their minds. A neighbor waited until the mom went to work. The daughter was babysitting her younger brothers. He knocked on the door and the little girl answered. He raped her and cut her throat. He was so sick and twisted, that he posed her 12 year old body in a seductive way. Her mom tried to call and check on them several times. She went home and found her baby slaughtered. She’s not the same person she was before her baby was taken away from her.

There is a massive pedophilia case in Germany with thousands pieces of evidence from a holiday camp. Yes, THOUSANDS. Goes back decades and indicates CPS workers were involved too, perhaps even police as during the investigation, several pieces of evidence went missing under police custody. And later on, the German national police took over because of the severity, finding that the local police screwed up so bad, they literally missed several more disc's and tapes in the camp. Why I am explaining this so much? Because the in investigators have to review analyze every single piece of evidence they got. THOUSANDS of videos and pictures. As if the quantity isn't bad enough, the content itself was so horrifying that several people had to quit the force due to sustaining severe psychological problems. The case in itself was a game changer for policework here as the force essentially openly declared war against pedophiles. And it worked. Several operations hit the news, there were days where they reported a dozen raids happening at once in a single day, at the same time. And I mean big scale, arriving with a tiny army in itself at every location.

On average in the USA, each prisoner costs $36,300, which totals up to nearly $550,000 for 15 years on death row, that could easily be cut down by executing people sooner, especially if the allegations are proven without any doubt. There are of course cases of people being falsely convicted, and appealing does take time, but 15 years is extremely excessive, and why let them appeal if there is direct undeniable evidence.

No, they don’t. My brother was a public defender for a while, before going into private practice. He never defended a capital murder case, but did defend lots of terrible people who raped, abused, etc. he said he looked at it as his job to make sure procedure was followed and the defendant was given a fair shot to present their case. In some cases he was unhappy with some of the sentences, but in many of the worse cases he was quite ok with the long sentences that we re handed down. There is one other thing to consider about public defending, and doing it competently, even if your client is convicted… this was eye opening for me.. it’s one wya to make sure the guilty get fair trials and therefore don’t get off on technicalities or mistrials.

How they do it, I cannot understand. That's their job you would argue. But man, you are sitting next to a monster that can potentially do this to your own family. I mean, we are humans, you cannot just turn off your emotional responses. Lawyers are by definition, dangerous. Spinless creatures, in the name of Justice? money ? what exactly. I think the worst job you can do is to defend one of these things.

@@Nuttypro-f one of your rights as a defendant is that you are allowed an attorney. You are given one if you are unable to afford one. That said, I bet a lot of the attorneys that try to defend these people were ones that were provided by the law, not hired by the defendant. I could be wrong on this, but I would imagine these attorneys don't want to defend these defendants, either. They do it because they have to for the sake of a fair trial. If they were hirable, I'd imagine that some of them (not all, but some) would decline the job, either because their moral compass says not to do it or because they don't want a loss on their record

I can't imagine there's any judge out there who doesn't feel at least a shred of unease when telling someone that they're going to die in the foreseeable future. She did it so well, handing down a harsh and unforgiving sentence with the mercy of a saint. Whatever precisely this guy did, it seems that his punishment was not handled lightly. Sadly, justice won't be served to that poor child's family, or to that little girl. Hopefully they will get through all this pain and torment, and emerge strongly.
