I'm watching this now on 2/17/2021. And as I watch this I like this RC truck it gives me ideas. Apart from the nice RC truck, I'm freezing my ass off its 8 degrees where I'm at, and I really appreciate the warm sunny weather this was recorded in.

Looks awesome I tried to run the integy +12mm hubs but they are made for their axles n they use the smaller 6S axles n axle pins so I scraped that project and then I saw your vid n got excited my Xmaxx will be wider soon lol I only wanted 1” wider arms but I’ll take 1.5” beggars can’t be choosers lol I’ve been waiting years for a sensored 1600KV I’ll be running that setup as soon as it’s available

What axles have you found that work with the arms? I know it's kinda proprietary to the design, but I printed some wide arms and I cut and lengthened the stock axles. Did you guys do the same for prototyping the setup, or did you find some useable length axles that work? This is a personal project, not for sale. Are you on any forums where you describe more in detail. Thanks for the vids. Keep up the innovations!
@HighVoltageRC30803 жыл бұрын
We were able to get some titanium axles made to fit these arms, these arms are 1.5" longer on each side. The kit is for sale now at WFO but only a few left from the batch. More will be made when time allows, the axles arent available separately at this time but will be available as spare parts in the future. Not sure what you used to make the arms but we did try 3d printing some and the materials we used never held up, there was one filament we didnt try but I dont think it would have made much difference.
@guillermo34713 жыл бұрын
@@HighVoltageRC3080 yeah all I did was print out the arms for fitment. I know they won't last . I cut and sleeved the axles also for fitment. I did modify the diff cups and axles to press in larger drive pins then rehardened them. Thanks for the reply. At this point I'll try machining some from 4140 1/2" square bar I have. Just wondering if you tried any stock rig axles for testing purposes lol. Ive already machined the new arms from 7075 alu . Keep up the good work brother!

@@guillermo3471 kraton 8s rear center shaft is pretty close.. little shorter than what we used here so if your arms arent as long those might work for you... they're not super strong but might work.
@guillermo34713 жыл бұрын
@@HighVoltageRC3080 thanks friend, that's a good starting point. I'd rather buy a couple of those to start with for testing than spend the time to machine them until I'm happy with how it all works together. The arms I made have adjustable length turnbuckle outer ends . I have a small cnc mill. For prototyping parts.

What size motor do I have to have to use the wfo gears on my xmaxx?
@HighVoltageRC30804 жыл бұрын
Any motor with 8mm shaft just about. We have 5mm shaft gears also for stock motor or the castle 1717 or spektrum 1250kv from kraton 8s. The ratios are limited and I prefer mod1 anyways. We just do the 5mm gears for people that want mod1.5
