The tech tree is not fine. The developers just detailed all the problems with the tech tree system. It was fine 10 years ago with 5 or so nations and not many more lines. Now it's chaotic and archaic. You and I are used to it. Newer players find it daunting and confusing, and that's exacerbated with the confusing XP system. Now, new players will see a few sets with clear labels, a small description, and one currency type (silver) for all progress.

I am a systems analyst so I understand when something is laid out in an ordery, organised and understandable manner. Tech trees are about as clear as it is possible to get. Sets are FAR MORE COMPLEX, there is no obvious progression and no obvious relationships between them. They are a mish-mash of different vehicles that in many cases bear no relation to each other in type or play style. They are ABYSMAL.

I attended the live update and to be honest Thane & Andre (Lead Designers) spent most of the stream justifying the changes to the game. Those two get a -D in listening skills. The real star was Alexandra who obviously reading the player comments and translating into a more supportive feedback and ensured we the community got the most of the information. As for tank sets they are going to re-work it so its easier to find the tanks veterans of the game want to locate.

​​@@n9oI don't understand what you don't get about the rage. It's very simple. To research tech tree tanks, you will have to unlock sets first. Yes, you can earn keys by grinding level, but only a certain number of keys can be earned at a time. Meaning, you will be able to grind only 1-2 lines at a time and if you want to grind multiple lines at a particular time, buy the keys for a tech tree which was absolutely free to grind till now.

And I haven't even get to the part of how confusing and bad these sets are. The logic that adding more lines in current tech tree will make things more complex for beginners is totally absurd. They are saying, if we add more lines, players will have to scroll down the line and there are so many tanks..blah blah... We have more than 70 sets and yes, you'll have to scroll a lot just to find the tank you want to research. New players wouldn't even know which tanks they are finding, so the search function is useless for them. I think, it's better if you can actually share your honest opinion rather than buttering up for WG. Be honest to players community please.

As said, for most of us keys will be free. The only situation where it makes sense that someone wants to progress much faster with accessing all tanks than they do by grinding is if people reroll for better stats. Although I also have one, I dislike this whole culture of rerolling to show off and pay huge amounts just to hide that one has been a beginner at some point. So if rerolls have to pay more, so be it, keys are only discouraging from starting one. For everyone else it just doesn't really matter. PS: ofc it is kind of hard to judge how many keys beginners end up getting. But everyone with almost a full tech tree should never run into the issue of not having keys to start a new line/ set, because they/we play enough apart from just grinding up.

Gunpowder is my favourite provisions. Sometimes I don't want to run supercharger equipment so I use gunpowder. Spall liner is important. Gear oil is very important. What makes them think people don't use this ?

There is a problem that wg not notify it's that the new physics of the game has nerfed all the TDs and the heavy ones now the light ones bypass them very easily. also there are a lot of map bugs

thanks for the clarification about the keys. I kept hearing things like, " have to buy keys". Now it's clear that's not the case. What I don't like is upgrading the tank through a progression, so you have to upgrade engine, track, gun, camo- in that order. So you can't upgrade your gun until you upgrade your camo. Good news about Blitzstars- they do a great job and deserve to keep going.

Final price of tanks are not set. And each tank comes with the top modules. No more buying and upgrading the guns, tracks, turrets and engine so the current tanks are pretty expensive if you add the extras.

The current game is tired and difficult to update. 350,000 battles in a week of the test shows there's plenty of interest. I doubt that many players will quit playing. It's all hysteria. WOTB's problem now is veterans are slowly leaving already and it cannot retain newer players. Right now, best to give them constructive feedback. They will ignore trash comments and empty threats.

Here is my advice to everybody... When the new game drops 1. Park your current account, don't play it all 2. Start a new account and play that - just have fun, if that's even possible 3. Don't spend ANY m0ney on your new account 4. Watch how quickly WG walks back some of the changes If you complain but keep paying, WG are getting exactly what they want. It's up to you.

I am testing every day. I wish there was a comments section in game that WG could access. Also, All the shop - garage - sets and all the build up is simply fluff as far as I'm concerned. The Unreal Engine upgrade is garbage as far as I can see. What bothers me the most is the game play is really down graded. When I try to turn up the quality of graphics it renders the game unplayable. If I turn down the graphics the tanks look like cartoons and totally unfeeling like a low quality cartoon. The game play is terrible. I play on an android based high quality pad, and still have these issues. They have a lot of upgrading to do on rendering before I spend any more money on this game.

No no, every set that you have at least one tank from will be unlocked. Afaik you don't even need them in your garage. If you have all tanks then sets don't really matter to you, they are just a different way of finding new lines mainly.

I think you are overestimating the difference. A set basically is just one line of a tech tree. One key difference is that you are not forced to play every tank, so if there are multiple tier 7 you don't need to go back to some low tier tank that you don't like - you just keep playing your favorite tank in the set and will unlock everything at some point. Apart from that the sets just got a nice presentation that tech tree lines dont have, just as the set search and description was added. What's still missing is an overview for all tanks similar to tech trees.

Let me understand this. Veteran players complained for years about new players rushing to tier 10. So, when WG introduce sets and keys to slow them down, these same people still complain! 😂 The problem with society, especially online, is negativity gets attention. People love to whinge too. It's empowering. I'm pleased to hear WG won't be abandoning the key new ideas of sets and commander skills. Both systems are clearly superior over the current systems in place.

I havent been able to test as much as i would like. Im almost at 50 games. Id have more but it crashes a lot. Mainly just before a battle loads, but sometimes just randomly. This is all to be expected i suppose. However, its still nowhere near as smooth as Blitz. The graphics are, frankly, not my cup of tea. Thats probably because i have to run everything on low or medium. Im also unable to go above 60fps, its 30 or 60, thems my options. Not good. Jarring. Sets, essentially a paywall on something that was free. Its monumentally confusing and i dont see the need, though they clearly spent a lot of time on them.

they should add options so you can change the colours of eahc team to anything, if you want green allies red enemies sure, what about pink allies and yellow enemies, also fine! fixes all colour issues and lets the player have more agency on how they play, wouldnt be hard to implement given its just recolouring a png

so far WG mostly seems to be concerned about bringing the necessary stuff to a stage where players are somewhat happy, that has priority. they have a lot of stuff in the pipeline that can't be tackled before reforged is ready to go, such specific customization options are unfortunately likely to be very close to the bottom of the list.
