Having Tuco be the main bad guy for the entire 6 seasons would have been unbearable. He was too over-the-top crazy/violent to have ever survived that long. It was very difficult as a viewer to tolerate him for long periods as well without looking away. The character of Gus was much more believable over the long term with his cunning and calm.
@Warrior974892 жыл бұрын
Lalo is better than both Gus and Tuco imo However, I do think Tuco could have been on the show longer. Maybe for a season or so.

His type of character worked much better as the local big time drug dealer.. I think killing him off was a perfect way to set up season 2.
@electricmastro Жыл бұрын
Yeah, even Walt and Jesse's attitude can be pretty intolerable to begin with. Having that combined with Tuco the whole time would have been too much too soon.

Bill Taub I think we might have had a mutual friend. Did you know Jack Sowards?
@slithytovah9 жыл бұрын
I knew him peripherally in the sense that he was a friend of some of the Producers I worked for when I first started. But he was already a veteran when I was a newbie! If i'm not mistaken he passed away a few years ago.
@adrianlackey51079 жыл бұрын
Bill Taub He did. Kind of sad. I met him through Jarrod Summers (God I hope the spelling's right; we've been out of touch for so long) and Scott McPherson when I was a member of the Television and Film Institute up in Canada. In fact Jack ended up being my screenwriting mentor. He taught me more about writing then all other instructors combined. Lessons I used when I eventually taught screenwriting. Saw your name; it looked familiar. Did you write a *Barney Miller" episode?
@slithytovah9 жыл бұрын
I also knew Jarrod Summers. I met Jarrod when I was looking for Canadian writers. He a;sp lived in the same building as a friend of mind, Maurs Knowles.

Wasn't noise equalisation available? One moment I'm struggling to hear what Vince Gilligan is saying, the next my speakers are distorting. Just glad I'm not using headphones. This is a really good interview, but it's almost ruined by the audio.

Luck is preparation meeting opportunity....He got lucky in that his agent knew Chris Carter and Vince made an offhand comment at the right time....The rest was based on the quality of his work.

Breaking Bad and especially Better Call Saul are some of the best written shows I’ve ever seen, like on the same level as The Sopranos.

His choice to end BB when they did probably ended up making amc more money than if they had keep going. They show ended almost 10 years ago and is still one of the most watched shows. And it spawned a fantastic prequal series

Breaking Bad turned gay after the 2nd or 3rd season...its like u hook people on originality, skill and anti-hero, then when the all the sheep jump aboard, u turn around the "message" of the show and nuder it.

stop trolling around, ridicolous comment... of course its crap thats why it is called on of the best shows in tv history and wins so many awards lol... brainiac...

It could have been one of the best shows for men...then it turned gay and overly moral on its own high horse.
