I know the pit was dirty (I have ears) but here's some perspective: there were 5 vets in the front ensemble. everyone else was new. of those 5 vets, only 3 had played their instrument the previous year: center marimba, center vibe, and guitar. so yes the front ensemble was dirty but the front ensemble was basically completely new, had never been to Dayton, had never played music at that level, I could go on and on. all of this while being in a world class ensemble. I'm a few years late to the comment party but this video has resurfaced because of memorial day and reading the negative comments disappoints me. especially since as someone said, its a high school indoor drumline (one that had never been in world class before). plus finals was definitely a lot better and that's what counts. 10th place first year in world. nothing bad about that

flutegirl1995 We had a similar situation this year for marching band, regardring new people. Pit of 13, only 3 vets. But hey, we're coming along very nicely :)

Hey that's just a testament to the staffs teaching ability. How often did they rehearse and for how long?
@everleighxoxox Жыл бұрын
@@brothaNbluerehearsed together after school two weekdays from 6-9pm, and usually Sundays 1-9pm. Sometimes Saturdays, usually the same number of hours. The week leading up to Dayton, every day after school 6-9, or even longer, and all day both days on the weekend. Either 9-5pm, 1-9pm, or 9am-9pm. Each section would practice together outside of rehearsal of course, but that wasn’t scheduled or really regimented in any way.

First off, for a high school, you guys sound amazing! I played at the University level and you are playing hard stuff. Excellent job basses starting at 3:52. Also I am very impressed with the pit starting at 3:38. Those are some very hard riffs! Keep up the great work!

I was section leader in high school (snare) and played on the snare line with the University of Utah. Great times! I liked marching but my passion is the drum set. I do not actively play in a band but play everyday to keep it up. My 12 year old boy is playing quads in his middle school drumline. He is way beyond where I was at his age. Proud moments for Dad! He is excited to do High School drum line in two years.

Honestly, I do not know. Something to look into. It would be a great experience to even attend as a spectator next year.

No because I see you everywhere lol you're just a troll. These kids worked hard to qualify for WC. They obviously do something right.
@PlushChronicles10 жыл бұрын
***** It's just that everytime I see you comment on a video you're always negative in some way. How? Why can't you just see the good in things? Yes I know the pit was a little dirty but who the fuck cares they made it to WC's and that's a good enough indicator that they are doing things right. Is there anything you actually like????
@PlushChronicles10 жыл бұрын
It is because there's so few. Regardless. I guess opinions are opinions.

Vladimir Puhduhduh damn you’re being negative and insulting another commenter for no reason? Not helping your case here. This show was great and it had a really touching message. If you wanna critique it and tell them how to improve, apply for a job to work with them 🤷🏻♂️

Righttt 😩😂 they were soooo unflattering. We should’ve been in fatigues since we were supposed to be the soldiers memories of war, and the soldier “coming home” should’ve been in blues. Made no sense, but hey, too late now lol.

It's called visual effect. What they are achieving in terms of face, reaching something we call box 5. It's all part of the score sir. You obviously haven't marched WGI
@SnareForever10 жыл бұрын
no I Haven't xD but you say it like every wgi group is doing that but I don't see rhythm x smiling or pulse, matrix, rcc, .........

mmhmm! its cause your face has to match the theme of the show! :) if its an intense show, intense face, etc
