Home video recording of WGN-TV’s “Bozo’s Circus” from June 15, 1978. The live broadcast features cast members Bob Bell as Bozo, Roy Brown as Cooky and Frazier Thomas as the circus manager; comedy sketches; the Grand Prize Game; guest juggler Ken Benge; a Bozo cartoon; and a studio audience game. A Hanna-Barbera cartoon short has been edited out of the video. The home video recording of the WGN-TV broadcast was provided by Rick Klein of FuzzyMemories.TV.

I wish I could see the episode where I was picked as an at home player. I believe my Aunt sent in my name and I missed the episode. I was quite surprised to receive a box in the mail consisting of a jar of Ovaltine, Archway Windmall cookies, a gift certificate for a free pizza, a Bozo doll and a couple other things. I think I was 6 or 7 so 1978 or 1979.

Ahhh great memories!! My boss Travis played the grand prize game sometime between 1975 and 1979 wearing his cute cowboy outfit. I'd love to find video of him on Bozo circus in Chicago!! 😆
