Respect to Kool Hercules. However my brother Tariq those other DJs in the Bronx n Brooklyn n Queens were not Disco DJs..Disco as a genre didn't surface until 1975.. Disco Techs were the name of clubs so yeah they DJ at Discotechs but didnt play Disco music until 1975..it was Soul, Funk and some Blues... I know you misspoke Brother Tariq cause you've always said DJs in Discotechs not the other way around ✌🏾 FBA

Gospel, Blues, Rock n Roll, Rythmn & Blues, Jazz, Funk, Disco, Techno, Hip Hop and many more, to be continued...... FBA/African Americans are the creators of all of these musical styles. Anyone claiming otherwise is either willfully ignorant or attempting to falsley claim credit. It's a phenomenon very particular to the U.S. to "White Wash" anything black and claim it as "American Culture". You need look no further than "Southern Cooking" to realize how American society seemingly attempts to erase "Blackness" from anything consumed by the majority culture.

If foundational rappers are saying that they were influenced by Pigmeat, then they need to provide 45, 35, or 25 year old interview where they made such statement, otherwise, it's BS. I have not been able to find any old interviews mentioning Pigmeat. If you remove Herc, Flash, Theodore and Bam, Hip Hop would only be 1/10th of what it is today. Anyone that says that they were doing this and that before Herc and Flash can't even provide audio proof. None of them have ever disputed Herc and Flashes claims 45 years ago when these two gentlemen were getting all the attention and fame.

LMFAO😂🤣😭at Someone who is from Detroit talking about where he thinks Hip Hop started from & what he thinks it is while leaving out the five elements of Hip Hop. Meanwhile he does bring up Cornbread but leaves out that he is one of the founders in Grafitti which is one of the elements in Hip Hop. Then he never brings up Jimmy Dee (PR) and Jimmy Lee(FBA) who are Other BBoy Originals & The Founders of Rock Steady. He only talks about the MCing & DJing which most people know that came from FBA. Meanwhile he leaves out the other part which is Culture where people were living at the time when Hip Hop was being born & put on the map in the 70's which was out of The Bronx and not anywhere else. He was sitting in Detroit as a baby somewhere. Last time I Checked Most People know who was Living in The Bronx in the 70's and he was not there. But talks about Others who were there. Then he brings up Trixie but leaves out that he was good friends with Kool Herc(Jamaican), had a Afrika Mom & was inspired by Sammy Davis Jr who was (Cuban & PR) & Others to B-Bop/B-Dance/Breaking very interesting🤔

Pure lies and lots of things left out on this biased film. But I get it. It's a sloppy attempt to create a narrative... you can't change what actually happened and what was already documented 50 years ago. 🤷🏾♂️ In the eyes of the WORLD.... not the south. Or to the small biased few.... in the eyes of the WORLD KRS one more power more weight🤷🏾♂️ By the way this guy used AI to create the film

Herc didn’t do ANYTHING that FBA’s were not doing in our culture for generations throughout the country. Herc, Flash and Bam consumed FBA culture and they were chosen because they all have immigrant lineage. The name of the game has always been to take FBA culture and cultural music genres out of the hands of the FBA community.
