All of my courses were marked as complete on January 2nd. I did the application on January 3rd. I officially graduated on January 11. 😊

Thank you so much Cameron for sharing your experience I obtained my Masters in Leadership from WGU on Aug 2022 and truly wanted to get my MBA instead, I started my MBA/IT in Dec. 2023 and would be finished with at least 2 classes if my computer had not messed up, I have been watching your videos for the last two months and they were really helpful sending blessings your way and continued success! Very helpful! I have to do the capstone and the exams for data-driven, finance, and global econ before the end of the month. Might get an extension on the capstone for april if studying gets too tedious. So close!

I'm interested in your opinion on the topic of transferring credits: would you recommend individuals to complete as many classes as they can outside of WGU until they attain the 75-credit requirement specified by WGU? Once that requirement is met, then initiate the transfer process? Thanks!

I think it depends on your reason for getting the degree and how much experience you have. If finishing quickly is your main goal, then transferring in credit makes sense (especially for classes that you have no interest in). Sometimes it can be faster to do the class at WGU too. I'd recommend transferring in credit as you complete them instead of waiting to transfer in everyone once your done. You don't get charged for transfer evaluations. Also, the limit is usually 75% of the total credits, not 75 credits. It depends on the degree though.

Thank you so much for creating these videos. You've just about convinced me to go for the MBA ITM instead of the MS in Cybersecurity. What pre-reqs do you recommend for an IT generalist with Azure Administrator and and CISSP certs? I am "writing" challenged! 'got a STEM degrees 35 years ago with a few failed adventures in grad school. I've been doing IT 30 years.

The MBA isn't technical. If you have IT experience, it'll help with a couple of classes, but it's a very business focused degree. I think brushing up on global economics and leadership skills will help with most of the classes.

Bro you really dramatic lol. We're so hooked up on passing things on the first go, it's like we are marking it as a badge of honor. I honestly didn't care as i'm learning. I could get it sent back twice..oh well. At the end of the day, you have it, I have it, and others do. And it's likely employers don't even care about the Excellence Award, so don't feel pressured to meet that expectation. We have limited time and energy folks just do enough and complete the rubric. We get so hyped up to quickly pass WGU courses as if a standard university wouldn't be 2-3 times the length of time.
