Nice review man. I'm disappointed in this keyboard too but I bought and am using it anyway because it ticks all my boxes - especially the 2.4G/Bluetooth and volume wheel . The problem with the Azoth, IMO, is the terrible required Armoury Crate software. I don't like G Hub much either, but it's way better than Asus' software.
@mynusten7 ай бұрын
@justinbillen3934 Agree with you 100% on Armoury Crate…I lose hair over that app. 🤣 The Logitech Pro X TKL Lightspeed is an okay typing experience with nice add-ons. My primary gripe is the Logitech tax. I just checked Amazon and it’s still selling for $190! 🤯 Thanks for watching my content, engaging and the nice comment! 👍

I could have made a lot of excuses for the shortcoming of this keyboard, UNTIL you said it doesn't come with hot swappable switches. There is NO excuse for that at the $200 price range. Even if "gamers" don't care about sound quality, I'm sure they would want to try out different switches with different actuation force, and maybe even have different actuation force for specific keys.
@mynusten Жыл бұрын
@AllelineNguyen Yea, agree completely. I am a keyboard enthusiast-"light" and have built a couple of my own keyboards. After going down that rabbit hole, I realized 1) it takes a lot of time & planning and 2) its very expensive. The Razer Azoth showed that a mass market keyboard can give keyboard enthusiasts about 85% of the sound and the ability to mod-out a keyboard. I don't fault Logitech gaming for margin (pun intended), but that doesn't mean we gamers have to agree to it.

Been looking forward to this review! Like you I'm very disappointed the more I learn about this. To me it's an update to the G Pro TKL as even the G Pro X had replaceable switches. We are still enjoying the Azoth quite a bit which were the same price and have so many options. Great honest review, thank you!

I've been waiting for Logitech to launch their lightspeed version of the Pro X keyboard for a while now. But after watching your review I'm also disappointed with the shortcomings of this product. As you said in the video I'll look elsewhere for a good wireless TKL keyboard. Thanks for the review, I'm glad this showed up on my recommended page.
@mynusten Жыл бұрын
@dushaunlewis7574 thanks for watching and engaging in the comments section. In regards to the keyboard overall, its okay, but not at $200. The Lightspeed wireless tech that Logitech uses, though is excellent. That said, you can get Lightspeed in other keyboards that Logitech offers. Good luck in you buying decisions and thanks for the comment.

I really enjoyed your video and learned I learned alot. I want a smaller, wireless keyboard I can carry with my laptop. I was thinking of buying the Logitech G Pro X TKL keyboard. However, your video opened my eyes about the price, material, etc. Now I leaning towards the ASUS - ROG TKL 75% keyboard; which I may go ahead and purchase. According to the PC MAG, it is rated-outstanding! Thanks again!
@mynusten7 ай бұрын
@ashlynnicole76 if you are in the market, the Asus ROG Azoth is absolutely excellent and I bought two. 😁Its not the most portable keyboard, but it will pair with your laptop no problem. Thanks for watching my content and engaging! Really appreciate it. 👍
@ashlynnicole767 ай бұрын
@@mynusten Could I ask why did you buy 2 keyboards? I'm debating on buying clicky or tactile. Also, why would you say it is "not the most portable"? Is it heavy?
@mynusten7 ай бұрын
The Azoth is a heavier gaming keyboard & a bit thick, for sure. If you are in the market for a traveling 75%, mechanical, keyboard for work / productivity, I’d check the NuPhy Air 75%. Linear switches will be more quiet, but tactile switches feel better for lots of typing. I bought two Azoth’s because I do a lot of testing on the keyboard. Easily, my favorite mass market keyboard. Hope this helps.

Whoa! That's spendy after nearly a year since its release date. That's about $270 USD. That's a bummer as the Azoth is a superior keybaord to the Logitech G Pro X TKL Lightspeed. Good luck on your decision!

I was really hoping for glowing reviews as this keyboard appears to be the only one that meets all my requirements by beeing wireless, brightly coloured and coming in an ISO-nordic layout. I'm not even looking for quality I just want something that doesn't look like it belongs in an office for when I connect my laptop to the tv.
@mynusten4 ай бұрын
@plutus2559 As big of a fan of Logitech as I am, this keyboard is a huge disappointment. I would definitely defer you to something other than this keyboard. If a 75% format works for you, you can get the very excellent Asus ROG Azoth on sale for under $200. The Corsair K65 Plus is also a fantastic 75% option is also an excellent option at $160. Hope this helps.
@plutus25594 ай бұрын
@@mynusten Thanks. I couldn't justify the cost unless it was a life-changing product. I ended up going with a blue and white Akko 3068b that was on sale for about $65. It has a few fun keycaps and I have the option to switch if I can find some more colourful ones later. It seems pretty hard though. I had no idea that the layouts differed so much beyond the å ä ö before I went on this quest for a decorative keyboard. It was a fun rabbit hole to fall into though. I know so much about keyboards now that I had no idea about last week.

@mynusten Жыл бұрын
@taylerdarlas1589 completely understand your perspective. Most of my gaming peripherals are Logitech -- speakers, mice & webcam -- so migrating to another brand was a tough move. That said, the Azoth is an excellent keyboard and gives you 85% of a custom board. Just get ready for Armoury Crate! Armoury Crate is an acquired taste and may do a video on it. 😁

Excellent! You know what you are getting into. 👍 I've learned to enjoy it, but wish Asus would break Armoury Crate into two apps - 1) for its hardware (PC / Laptops) and 2) for peripherals. That said, the Azoth is a great keyboard for the price & value.

@@TheMostSavageOfAllGeese I with you...my webcam (Brio), speakers (G560) and mouse (Superlight 2) are all Logitech. I'm a Logitech fan man (😁) but the G Pro X TKL at $200 is a tough sell.
