I've wanted one of these big boys for a while, but didn't want to pay the trendy tax. Luckily these have become easier to find and less expensive - this was $40 and I'm sure it can be found for less.
Whale Fins are pretty easy to care for as long as they get decent light and don't get overwatered. Potting in terracotta pots with fast draining soil is ideal.
Happy to add this beastie to my Sansevieria collection!

Thank you so much for that tip for the drainage materials because I don't get the gnats around my snake plants but they come from my Christmas cactus so that is a good idea for me. Appreciate it!

I turned the ballyi loose to live in a large pot with a Chinese Maple 😅 It didn't want to conform to a normal pot so I set it free 😬
