Hello Captain, from Colorado again, my first time at sea back in 1965, was on a training/R&R cruise down the Mexican Baja coast to La Paz. About 3/4 of the way down we stopped in Magdalena Bay which for a couple decades now has been a popular tourist destination for whale watching/interaction from small boats. At the time it was a remote desert bay with only a very tiny fishing village where we anchored. We had a little ships party on the desert shore outside of the village, everyone got 2 beers, I took several B&W snapshots and then back to the ship... Around 40 years later when I got my first Apple I-Mac and started looking up all those obscure places I've visited, I discovered the village, Puerto Magdalena, was called "Man 'O War Cove" until recently... In 1908 when President Roosevelt sent the "Great White Fleet" around the world, it stopped there for a month to conduct gunnery practice and that's where they anchored. It was a thrill to compare my old photos with images on the internet and pin point that location, and then learn the history so many years later... Incredible sea life along that coast...Cheers and best wishes.

Looks like they were in a good mood that day. Have you always sailed on tankers?
