I loved my 2-inch brush so much I still have it to this day, I keep it in a glass-fronted box attached to my wall. It has had 37 handles and 68 bristle blocks.

Brings back memories of my 16 years as a Marine Engineer many many years ago. Cadet up to Second Engineer before an opportunity presented itself ashore. My family was happy but I still miss my time at sea. Rotterdam was a port I visited many times. Great video thank you.

Thank you very much for your comment! I also miss my work at sea. Staying at home for more than 2 years due to the war.

i used to work on that type of ship. I was always out in all weathers painting with my 2-inch brush.

I would love to see a fuller version of this video - not just a cut version in high speed.

Hello Captain, always good to see another of your videos come up. Enjoyed locating the berth on GE and following the ship out of the harbor while reflecting on being on that same water some 55 years ago, although we were berthed in the heart of town some two km west of the Euromast. Are you able to take leave of the ship and spend a few hours ashore in ports like this..?? I see this is footage from another Captain, I hope all is well with you and yours...

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, always pleasure to hear from you! Usually we were very busy at Rotterdam as it`s a very convenient port for the ship inspections, various services and other relevant activities, thus not so much time left for shore leave. And generally, the port stay for tankers has been decreasing in recent years. However we cought same opportunities to visit the city, of course just for few hours) My present situation is the same, good thing that it`s not getting worse. Best wishes to you!

Thanks skipper, another great video! I especially liked the strange, beautiful music. Any idea who wrote it?

Tha nk you very much, my dear friend. The music themes are "Aether" by Density&Time and "Final Girl" by Leremy Blake. Best wishes!

Согласен полностью. Но снято было в таймлапс режиме, там шум моря смешно будет звучать😉
