The most beautiful part of this documentary was their friendship. To be in this industry and have a partner that can be honest with himself the way Andrew was and allow his friend to shine without malice or jealousy is absolutely amazing to me. It was very well done. Bravo Netflix you got this one right.

He has a net worth of $200 million, and he's still alive. He's done just fine. George was always jealous of Andrew. Not in a spiteful way. They were best friends. But George thought Andrew was better looking. He was jealous that Andrew didn't struggle with his sexuality, and have the pain of losing his lover to aids. That Andrew wasn't photographed everytime he walked outside. That Andrew wasnt publicly humiliated with an arrest & outing, that embarrassed him for the rest of his life. That Andrew wasn't constantly scrutinized by the press. He always said Andrew had the better life because he didn't live with the constant torment that he did. Which is crazy, because as an outsider, you would think the opposite. I don't know how much of that is true, or if George was being overdramatic.

George Michael was an incredibly talented songwriter and performer. Just so sad how he was screwed over by the greedy music industry and we lost many years of creativity because of the court battle. Considering Wham was only 5 years of his life they created some incredibly huge hits. It was obvious by the time of Live Aid in 1985 Wham was falling apart. George Michael sadly left us way too soon and brought a whole new feeling to the song Last Christmas.

I just finished watching it. I LOVED IT. Thank you to the creators of this documentary and Netflix. In a nutshell, it was so well put together, with George and Andrew telling their story in its raw form - no pretence, no fluff, just the facts. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and then laugh again. It made this fifty-five year old woman re-live her youth. I cried at Careless whisper and Last Christmas, I laughed and danced around the lounge room to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, trying to re-do the moves of a teenager, with creaking knees and hip joints, until it hurt. It was so worth it. I LOVED IT. For those of you who there back in the 80s and fell in love with the boys from Wham as I did, you will not be disappointed xx ❤🇦🇺

George Michael and his bestie Andrew Ridgeley absolute superb. They represented our youth. I was age 15 to 18 when Wham started out. I absolutely loved them. I didn't see them live, but Wham left an indelible mark. The vibe, entertainment and it was pure magic. Devastating when they broke up, but what a performer George Michael went on to be. Andrew defined him from the beginning, and provided Michael the platform he needed, which excelled Michael's career. How brave Andrew was to step down and realise his besties potential. I saw Andrew on a beach in Cornwall/Devon many years later. Tearful and enjoyable at the same time. RIP Michael.

I have new respect for Andrew, to be happy for George's success and to respect him and how he could see their paths would eventually separate shows how much maturity he had for his age. The press did paint him as the 2nd banana but this documentary showed a much different truth. He Empowered George to find his potential. The press to try and minimize their talent or cause tension in their relationship, thankfully they had faith in their friendship to know what the press was trying to do was mean spirited and rude.

saw it yesterday, its really good, the 4k re-scan of music videos like "everything she wants"(in full colour!) looks fantastic, and the out takes of carelesswhisper, china tour and that rare THE FINAL tour footage! hope they release more footage after on WHAM youtube channel ;)

What an incredible talent we have lost. How could a guy with so much talent, beauty and energy die so young.. Kudos to Andrew for letting George take the reins and do things his way.

And WHAM here they are! The soundtrack of my early teens and irreplaceable memories (and dubious Wham-influenced outfits!) So excited!!! Well done Netflix!

when I watch this documentary, it tells a lot of real stories of how their small growth during their beginnings ends with a successful big break. I learned that George Michael never stop writing songs to achieve his goal, so that his single "Careless Whisper" became number 1 song in 1985 and he cried when he accepted an award from Elton John. Andrew also deserves a recognition for being a co-writer of that song.

Such an honour to have been a young girl growing up in the 80's and experience bands like Wham the first time round. The kids now don't know what they are missing with all the crap singers and bands they listen to. So glad I am a 70's child

WHAM was my favorite band in 8th-9th grade. I was and still am a die hard fan . Have known them since very young thanks to my brother hearing everything she wants in a car in the GTA game LOL. We had memorized the entire song and would sing it all the time. Then I decided to explore them further for myself when I was 13, and instantly became obsessed! Asked my sis to get me andrew’s book in 2020, my adhd kept getting in the way of me ever finishing it, i was too excited. Had a decade research project in 8th grade, thankfully I got the 80s, may still have the recording of the crappy musical I choreographed to wham rap and wake me up I think HAHAHAH. I would be reciting all their songs from their fantastic album in class and everyone would just be looking at me like a weirdo stuck in the past. No regrets. I still have George michael’s concert photo hung high in my room and I’ve just graduated high school
