@lolasmom58163 жыл бұрын
No he didn't. I wish he would have. He made excuses and blamed others for his actions. He even strongly suggested that the media and police worked together to set him up. How would the media and police know he would be in that public bathroom at that moment? They couldn't know. Blaming others for your actions isn't integrity or courage. Accepting and owning your actions would be integrity and courage. He played it off as a joke, not a big deal, and wrote it off as a conspiracy. Theres was a reason why police in the US were doing those set ups back then. A lot of very young boys and men were being used, manipulated, hooked on drugs, and then sold in public bathrooms to other men willing to pay. Pimps and drug dealers got the money while these boys and young men were used up and thrown away once they couldn't make money anymore. The police did a great job of stopping it through the stings and making the arrests public. The men going into public bathrooms to buy sex from these boys stopped bc they didn't want to be in the papers. The pimps and drug dealers stopped selling the boys in the bathrooms bc they couldn't make money that way anymore. GM saw himself as the victim in the situation when he wasn't. He was part of the problem.

@@MM-hq2xb So who is lying? Either the police are lying in the police report or George is lying. What would the motive be for the police to lie knowing that it is a crime to do so and they are dealing with someone either with an awful lot of money or access to an awful lot of money. He could have filed a huge lawsuit against BHPD (I thought the arrest was in Beverly Hills so George's claim about the LAPD is false if he was arrested by BHPD). George's motive for lying is clear if he was indeed looking for sex. By downplaying the incident and not taking responsibility, he makes himself not look as bad.
@Kurt777772 жыл бұрын
@@lolasmom5816 I agree with you about George Michael not taking responsibility for his actions, and pretending that he was set up and entrapped. He also made light of him cheating on his boyfriend which probably wasn't very funny to his partner when he found out. I don't know much about paying boys for sex and drugs and all of that stuff, so I can't comment on that. I live in Los Angeles and my understanding is that if you are looking for sex and/or are approached by someone offering sex for money, you should always ask them if they're a cop. That way, you can't get arrested because they have to tell you the truth. I also thought that this happened in Beverly Hills, so George's claim about LAPD wouldn't even be true. Beverly Hills is a separate city with a different police department. LAPD has no jurisdiction over the city of Beverly Hills.

"It's the things you are missing that make you a star, not the things that you have." This is really deep insight. So many genius singer songwriters died because they ultimately succumbed to what drove them in the first place.

You're absolutely right-I've been looking😔 I actually found 1 I liked with Kevin Hart, recently, though - called Hart to Heart, where he basically just drinks a bit of wine, while "chatting" with random celebrities 😉 I've only watched a few, and didn't care much, for 1 episode I saw, but the first I watched, was with Bryan Cranston- it was hilarious!

He’s sooo charming. I love when he talks about his family. When he said he wasn’t looking forward to his dad’s phonecall. Even though he’s in his 30s and a massive star. He’s so down to earth and relatable. I can see why the reality of fame was difficult for him. He always said he wanted to be famous but he never wanted to be anyone but himself and you can tell that about him. He remained the same person throughout fame. Good for him.
