I take 10" snow over 1/4 " ice anyday of week!

At 1:15PM in Elizabethtown, kentucky there's about 5 inches of snow in the Indian Hills neighborhood and the snow, which had been coming down moderately since around 6:20 AM seems to have stopped for the time being. Temperatures are still below freezing on all thermometers but it's risen from 25 F around 9-10 AM to around 31.6 F, currently. Very little wind currently, but no rain so far, or ice. No sign of ice on the trees and power lines which are in abundance here. It should be noted that we are approximately 2 miles from the city center and we are on an acre site about 840 feet above sea level and usually are 1-2 F colder than downtown area and the Dixie Highway corridor. There have been no power outages locally yet. Current Time of reporting: 1:28 PM L

Here in Elizabethtown, Indian Hills section, since 2:30 pm we see signs of ice and sleet falling. Trees show small buildup of ice and snow looks compacted
