Former Indiana Sheriff Jamey Noel, his wife Misty, and his three children were in court on Monday, May 20, 2024. The entire family has agreed to have their assets frozen as the state looks to have the Noels pay back millions of dollars in unlawful purchases.

It’s just an opinion but they probably hammered out a deal so the family still had access to money and bank accounts for living expenses while everything else was frozen and also to put on the record that they know they can’t sell anything physical that the court can’t freeze.

"Agrees to" have their assets frozen?? I didn’t know those actions were OPTIONAL, I was under the impression it was more of an order! Between him, his old lady and kids charging all that crap to the State of Indiana, I figure most of their assets belong to the State! They can keep some clothes, but not all, and start over after prison!

All of their assets still belong entirely to them until after they’re convicted. And the agreement was probably made to let the family still have access to a money and a bank account for basic living expenses while everything else was frozen. It’s better to come to a mutual agreement like this than try to fight it and the state will just eventually freeze everything after a few more court proceedings. Agreed sounds weird but I think that’s normal.
