Something happened around the 10 hour mark (where I am now) and all of a sudden I feel way better with the quads and actually able to finish the races, which I totally couldn't do at 5 hours. Super excited to get to 100 hours and sart putting in laps like those. Mega effort!

I’m actually of a different opinion. I do agree that Velocidrone flies more realistic, however the hang time is WAY WORSE then Liftoff, and I have always found Velocidrone to be underpowered compared to my real drones, while Liftoff gets that right

Whoa... what are your controller settings in this? A few times I saw you max pitch left and right, which on my setup would at minimum flip the quad 360 and as long as you were doing it, it would be more like 720 or more... and that wasn't the behavior I observed in response to that controller motion. I think a big part of my problems getting smooth (I'm only about 8 hours in mind you) is how my right stick is all careful centering or 1 zillion flips, but the left stick I frequently have to max in every direction so it's a weird dance to get my drone to move correctly. I'm still drilling trying to get consistent insta-stops and turns and working on the quick jerks to rapidly balance the quad while drastically changing direction for slalom course and races and the like.

How close In comparison is flying in liftoff vs flying a real drone as in the way the drone handles. I know there will be differences from game to real life. The only real drone I have flown was a cheap $40 one 5 years ago that any slight breeze outside made it impossible to fly but thinking about buying a good drone hopefully under $1,000.
