What $1600 got me from VistaPrint

I've ordered from VistaPrint in the past for my businesses. I was always very happy with their quality and great prices. This was before I got back to drawing, so I used their backgrounds. The products you ordered are all so amazing, Lisa. I'm curious how you photograph your beautiful paintings to get so true to color images?

I worry more about getting accurate detain in the photograph, then I use Lightroom to correct the color to make it as accurate to the original as possible. It's also helpful to put a white paper next to the painting when you photograph it so you can easily correct the color temperature in lightroom when editing :)

@@Lachri Thank you, so much, Lisa. I never thought to use white paper next to my art. Is that for light reflection? I do edit though I don't have LightRoom, trying to get the color right. Some colors look great, while other colors do not. I have all daylight bulbs in my ladies' parlor/art studio. That hasn't helped with getting the colors right. I'll start using the white paper. Thanks.

My "mini prints" are actually flat cards under "greeting cards" I think. For larger prints I go with gicleetoday.com :)

Do you do a lot of editing to the files before sending them to print?

Yeah, I always have to edit them to make them look as close to the original as possible. The original photo is almost never dark enough.

@Lachri Fine Art thanks! I'm so confused about what I see on screen versus what the print will look like and what the original looks like... RGB, CMYK, colour profiles... so confusing that I've pretty much given up attempting to do prints.
