Cap's my favorite Vanguard. He's so fast people can't easily hit him, his shield deflects back ranged attacks, his Shield Throw can ricochet & it's hilarious, & he just puts pressure on weaker low health enemies. He's also great at defending other team mates because he can run & get in there so quick & block the damage while harassing everyone with knock ups & shield attacks, then get out quick, find a health pack & do it all over again.

Yea true i think with truly great players they could make it work. Hawkeye and black widow are snipers so they shouldnt need heals that much,cap should be putting pressure on the healers to make it easier to kill the dps characters on other team then cap can come back to assist with cleaning up. Itll be tough and everyone would have to know the maps like the back of their hand so they can heal

I think if his skills didn't have such absurd cooldowns he'd be a lot better. 12 seconds for his dash and ground pound? Drop those down to about 7 and he'd have a bit more burst potential. Currently it feels like he needs Thor to be a genuine threat.

⁠@@hadowsinc.3156 there is but I forgot where. Melee, shield throw, shield hold, melee is an animation cancel. Also you can apparently melee, jump, air melee, dive attack (after pressing mid air shift), melee. Tons of potential burst damage. Basic rule of thumb is weave melee attacks in between your abilities then sprint away to the nearest health pack and then repeat. Use shield to retreat if you need to.

I love cap and he has some nice team utility even without the Thor team up, i was doing REAL GOOD placed number 1 in my team, i tanked 10K Damage in casual so played my part lol.

Do you need to turn off his sprint to land his attacks more effectively? It looks a little wonky when you try to land hits while sprinting.

The sprint is hold down not toggle. So no. You just gotta practice to land the melees. I’ve found moving your mouse to the opposite side of your target as you punch makes striking more consistent.

Also I don't know how it much it affects it, but since this game is third person it might be worth positioning your mouse a little bit to the right of the opponent you're trying to it. Like how Magik's dash can sometime miss when right on target, but always hitting when aiming to the right.

Games got 2012 graphics quality but runs like cyberpunk with raytracing lmao. Plus TAA and upscaling smearing and artifacts for a game that would work better with SMAA. Unreal Engine 5 turly is the worst engine in the modern era
