San Francisco is the WORST! peoples rents are going from $2000 to $8200 A MONTH no lie, San Fransisco is a real estate shitshow.

I didn’t find it at all trendsetting hipster or whatever you call it. I don’t find it bohemian or eclectic. I find it quite blah. It needs nice furniture, more of it and less stuff. I don’t think it’s nice, her style not the apartment. I find very boring. The apartment itself is very nice of someone knew how to decorate. She needs to find her style and maybe stop trying quite so hard to be hip or whatever she is going after. She is completely fake and boring af, imo

@@debbiepotter6413 I completely agree with you, but I'm just clarifying the label(s), not defending her style. Priceless, except the shaming of plants, shame on you,,, we need more!! I myself have.... none, they all die as soon as they're carried over the threshold,,, but in my dreams I have many, many, many, and my place smells nice and fresh and keeps rotten socks and food odors from lingering

I mostly agree with you except for the plants. I've been collecting plants for over 15 years. It is a great hobby of mine. But I get what you're saying....I roll my eyes a bit when someone goes from having 1 to 100 plants in 6 months and they're all trendy Instagram plants. It also drives up the prices....ugh.

See the difference is that New York has a higher cost of living therefore higher wages. If she was working minimum wage which she isn't btw, she would still be making $11/hr (minimum wage is going up to $15/hr in the next year or two) and she would live accordingly. She's done with school and lives with her boyfriend who probably pays half the rent. So all in all, especially for NY, it's not a terrible price

you could totally put some storage under the window next to your turtle, by creating cupboards and then build bookshelves around and above the turtle's tank. L shaped storage. Change the position of your bed either under the window or facing the window and use that bed nook for a closet. This I think would transform your place. Also, lose one of the benches and get dining chairs, it would definitely showcase the beauty of that table

@@roberta.lofgrenjr.9182 Weird, never said I didn't like New York. Lmao! I should clarify though. I strongly believe that if you pay most of your income to live here (a lot of people do unfortunately) then the downsides become more apparent. Why is that? Well, your spending a lot of money to live with people you most likely tolerate or an apartment that is extremely small. The whole point of New York is to enjoy doing things like music festivals, movies, nightclubs, museums, networking, different restaurants, bar hopping, etc. You can't enjoy life to the fullest if your paying an arm and a leg every month. Because my rent is a third of my rent I can mostly enjoy the thrills of NYC life.
