The main reason is the location. It's a beautiful area, but it's on the outskirts of the city, far from the center. Plus, there aren’t many amenities around, and the demand for renting villas here isn’t as high.

Yep Americans are not told that China is way more advanced than America. Most Americans are shocked when they find out. And that's because you don't know what goes on outside your country and you consider China the enemy. When it's not. I'm Australian and my granddaughter is half Chinese. We have a big population of Chinese people living in Australia. You should watch some videos on China it will blow your mind.

It's affordable if you're already rich. But if you live and work in China this is equivalent to $3000-$4000 a month in America if their minimum wage is $400 a month. It's beautiful for sure.

We rented a 100m2 apartment in Shanghai (outskirts) for roughly the same amount. It was also without furniture because in China they put really cheap stuff in there, which we never liked. I don't know if I would put so much work and effort in a rental property. There is no protection that the Landlord kicks you out and then use your work to rent it out for a higher price. Also if there is anything with the building, in our experience the Landlords are very lazy and dont want to invest a penny to improve anything. But the area looked kinda empty, so the Landlord is lucky to have you.

I don't know how expensive that is in China but where I live in Miami that is easily a $5k rent. For some context, the average person here in Miami makes about $5k a month so you would have to earn at least 3 times de average person in Miami to afford that rent.
