When I grew up in rural New York state, the flag up on the mail box meant that you have a letter in the mailbox that you want to mail. This way, if you didn't have any new mail, the mailman would stop anyway and pick up your letter. This was back in the time when the mailman also picked up pre-stamped mail on the rural routes. I'm 61 years old, so this was awhile ago :-)

You are renting a lovely home and I'm happy to see how successful you are. Even though you can afford this amazing home, I was wondering if you feel it's the best use of your income? Do you ever feel that maybe there's much more you can do with your money if you didn't have kind of rent? Did you ever have struggle with paying this rent when outside of silicon valley your money would go much further? I'm really struggling justifying living in silicon valley eventhough I also work in tech. Any advice on your experience is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but why not to buy? I get that it would be more expensive, but then again, you could've found something smaller in, let's say, san mateo, and with 3% down you would cover all your monthly payments at $7,500 while building equity in this ever appreciating real estate market.

This is a really cool house. Me personally would have gone for south florida house. A 7500 a month house in florida is really amazing. I love your videos btw you inspire me! I'm working everyday toward my 7 figure online business dream. I have found a mentor which is someone I follow and trust and someone who's values are aligned with mine. Short term goal is me reaching 5 k a month. Mid term is reaching 50k or more a month in 5 years.

Everyone having sticker shock needs to realize the location of this place. Salaries are incredibly high in Silicon Valley. You generally need minimum 2.5x the rent so she and her husband likely make 300k or more per year, which means they still net $200k after housing expenses. So yes she could buy a castle in Texas or wherever but the job market there won’t afford you these salaries.

I feel it doesn't matter if it is $3500 or $4000 or $7500 or $10,000. In Silicon Valley, it is just work, work, and work, and talk about TC on TeamBlind, and everybody thinks everybody is an idiot. There is no time to enjoy life. It is like: earn $5 millions first, so that you can buy a $2 million house with a backyard that can grow your vegetable, when people else where have a $100,000 house and can grow their own vegetable. Or, living in a country where vegetable in a restaurant is for US$2 and tastes so good that it is like own grown.
