Nice its nice to hear more about programming in calisthenics, importent as much as any other strength based sport, even more so relevant because of the joint strain + complexity of progression compared to a barbell or whatever, really dig it man nice vid

I’ve done block periodization and it’s worked really well I’m gonna do a full video on this in a few weeks, then I’m gonna test out the other methods of periodisation to see if they’re better

Another banger fr! 🔥 I've made good progress and become more confident in my training since watching this channel 💪🏿 Also, I've seen concepts from Overcoming Gravity mentioned quite a bit now and even watched an episode of the FitnessFAQs podcast discussing the books concepts with the author, but no other KZbinr made the concepts so easily digestible, visually aesthetic, and easier to implement thanks to the confidence in understanding 💯 Thanks for all the great vids

This method is best for performance sport before body building using it. First I heard about this one is from podcast Frinksmovement with dr. Mike Isratel (sorry if I’m not write correctly).

Excellent video. I've read overcoming gravity and have tried to set up some sort of plan with deload. I would be curious to see more of your thoughts on this book. Thanks.

Overcoming Gravity definitely helped when setting up parts of my plan but for the other parts I used general strength programs from powerlifting as a guide to what works and when you should be taking breaks to minimise fatigue

Hey jacked, thanks for the great video. You mentioned about fatigue vs fitness and we should have higher fitness over our fatigue. Means we need some rest to recover too. Also what about pros like Andry Strong where he workout 3-6 hours a day "or more" everyday 365 a year. How does athlete get enough recovery? Something that I've been thinking for a long time. In the video where you interviewed him , he said he trains 3 hours in the morning purely reps like dips, pull ups, etc and static holds in the evening for another 3 hours. How to get over fatgiue like that?

Recovery is a personal thing. You have to decide what is best for you, through trial and error. There are so many details involved in recovery it is impossible to recommend a training regimen for any individual. There are some general rules mentioned here and they should be your starting point and adjust from there. I'm 82 years old and still love this stuff but I am constantly adjusting. Sometimes once a week is enough for me. Even 10 days at times. This channel is one of the best. The rest is up to you.

I was almost at a 5 second adv tuck hold I took a break for about 5 days and I can barely hold a tuck for 15 seconds. Can someone help me?

How often were you training when you got near the 5 sec adv tuck? if you were doing a lot you likely accumulated a lot of fatigue and potentially you connective tissue is still recovering or it could be that since the adv tuck is skill the 5 days off resulted in a loss in performance. It's like when you learn a handstand but don't train it for a few weeks, when you come back to it your balance and muscle activation can be off. But its tricky to answer without knowing more about what you were doing

@@TheJackedVegan I was training 4x a week with planche leans and pseudo planche pushups. I started weight training which I didn’t really do until then. But when I recovered my planche was weak ever since and only my planche. I tried to readjust to it with planche leans and pseudo ppu 4x a week again but I’m not able to get into adv tuck planche I lower my legs and I go back to the ground instantly it’s like the beginning of adv tuck again. Should I stop weight training and only focus on planche lean based exercises? Or is there a way I can combine them both or implement one into my routine without making the other worse?

if uknow how to train the planche then u already know how to train “other difficult skills” such as maltese planche, finger planche, knuckle planche but if ur talkin about skills that are not related to planche then he already taught front lever and if uknow how to train the front lever then uknow how to train the one arm front lever and back lever by urself. u make calisthenics skills sounds hard to achieve, think of it this way. if u can do the full planche then u already have enough pushing strength to do other advanced pushing skills and if you can do front lever then u have enough pulling strength to do other advanced pulling skills. this isnt hard man, its physics, logic, common sense, high IQ, 4th dimension and big bang
