Goodness, you could have warned us to grab the tissues....not for George, Emily or James seeing their dad again, oh no, I wouldn't cry at that😉 I meant for the chilli & chopping an onion😂 That food looked yummy 😋 Maybe some chicken & chorizo would be good in it too. I agree though, the original pice is a bit much. You can get cheap tins of tomatoes & butter beans & if you get the pack of 3 peppers & onions you can make more for the family. Lovely surprise, my son did that for Noah when he was last in Falkland s, Noah had no idea he was coming back. As for the Spanish stew , try putting smoked paprika in it, gives a lovely smokey flavour , there is a hit smoked paprika packs a lot of heat x

Wondered why you hadn’t gone to your mum and dads for Christmas. What a lovely surprise! As for chopping veggies….. Last year I broke my arm and got around the problem by using a mandolin…OXO handheld mandolin from Amazon…and it worked a treat for onions, carrots, courgettes, mushrooms, potatoes, peppers etc. Still using it now, so much easier than chopping board and knife and all slices even in size. Enjoy rest of Bens R and R!🎉xx😻

@ Just an obvious warning about mandolin. Don’t be tempted to slice the veg too low without using the guard. I did once when doing an onion and paid the price with the corner of my thumbnail and accompanying flesh sliced off!😫👎🏻🩸🩸🩸Also make sure blade is closed before washing it etc. Take care in the weather forecasted!xx😻

I bought a Ninja stackable chopper from Amazon a few months ago & only just started using it - it's amazing, I wish I had bought it yonks ago. It takes all the hard work away from chopping and saves your eyes from tearing up when chopping onions. It chops, minces and purees - I highly recommend you get one x
