Come here on 30-31 of December, this shopping mall will be absolutely full of people, massive crowds. Or every day in evening, especially on weekends. This shopping mall is always overcrowded. I go there on DDX fitness almost everyday. Once I found 5000 roubles on the flour, somebody lost, and I had great dinner with sushi for free and 4000 roubles change 😂

To start with, in Russia, Christmas is in early January, not December, so the time for this place to be packed hasn't arrived yet... so that tells its own tale about the effect of Western sanctions. Also, one really shouldn't expect those sanctions to have any effect on inventory levels, since the West stopped manufacturing goods a long time ago. Russia has a huge manufacturing base of its own, and produces more than enough of its own food and manufactured goods. It's also on very friendly terms with China, which manufactures the majority of the goods that are in the West, so the sanctions are meaningless in that respect. What the sanctions have done is weaken the West as it has increased their energy costs, and prompted a lot of countries to dump the US Dollar as their medium of international trade
@sadclown659522 күн бұрын
Not entirely true about Christmas. In Russia, Christmas is not the main holiday, but a church holiday; it is practically not celebrated, unlike the New Year.

@musicclassic593821 күн бұрын
The western politicians punished their own population by sanctioning Russia and especially Russian oligarchs who have repatriated their riches and assets from the West back to Russia. Meanwhile the energy prices skyrocketed in the West. In a global market it's impossible to damage any nation with sanctions, especially big ones like Russia, the world's fourth economy. Western companies left the Russian market? Wore for them - they are rapidly being replaced by Chinese, Indian, Turkish, Egyptian, Israeli, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai, Iranian, Brazilian, Argentinian companies, you name them.

Moscow shopping centers are crowded at the end of the working day from about 17:00 to 22:00, especially on Friday night or on weekends. It is also worth adding that many people, including me, have stopped visiting shopping centers, as now everything can be bought online, without leaving home, on the websites of the same stores that are presented in shopping centers or on marketplaces WB and Ozon
@tomascernak611222 күн бұрын
yeah no. This is not normal and no, russians are not different from other Europeans, so largest mall in Moscow being soo empty indicates seruious problem. Fact, that Putin wants armistice, despite fact, he did not achieve single goal in Ukraine yet his army is still slowly advancing, supports theory that Russians are out of money. This is not good situation at all, because if Russia will lose war over Ukraine, inevitable collapse would destroy this last barricade against american imperialism.

Smart guys writing about how "terrible Russia" attacked "kind and peaceful" Ukraine!!! I'm wondering what the United States would do if Russia or China staged a coup in Mexico, began to persecute, kill and imprison US citizens living in Mexico and all sympathizers of the United States, and called on China or Russia to open their base near the US border and put their nuclear weapons there?! I'm already silent about the fact that they would have named streets after the terrorists who staged terrorist attacks in the United States, began to celebrate 9/11 as a national holiday, and so on! Russia is only protecting its interests and its security! And it's funny for me to talk about Russia's "aggressiveness" - look at the world map, the United States has 800 military bases around the world and there are a lot of them next to Russia and China, while Russia has only a few military bases and they are far from the United States!!! There is nothing on planet Earth more aggressive than the United States and NATO (NATO is an organization under the absolute and complete control of the United States)!!!

The people in the comments who say things like that are obviously constantly slandering Russia and seeking out videos on the country to comment on, otherwise it wouldnt pop up in their algorithm. Also the article that people got the "no toilets" line from was mistranslated and actually was describing how the countryside don't have centralized sewage systems but rather septic tanks... I'm from Ireland and most of our countryside and even some urban areas work off of septic tanks and we've got the 4th highest GDP per capita in the world lol. The fact is people don't know the legacy of the Soviets meant that majority of the population live in cities, like 75-80%. 66% of the rest of the country is uninhabitable and a lot of the remaining population in the countryside are of an older generation. Still they try and find old abandoned Soviet mining towns and show them off as if its what the entire country looks like. At the end of the day though, it's not as if Russia is the richest country or has been an economic powerhouse for the last few decades, it's barely 2 decades removed from total collapse... yet somehow the country is developing and improving while my country or the UK next door is crumbling under lack of public services, no housing, no healthcare, lack of public transport, mass migration, soaring crime and the list is endless

@@NatalyCrowley I prefer Wildberries because I have never encountered what you wrote. When returning a quality product, I was charged a 50-cent commission. If the product is defective or the wrong item was delivered, no commission will be deducted, and you will be fully reimbursed for your expenses. Most Russians buy from Wildberries because of the excellent service, large selection of goods, and lower prices. Wildberries is larger than Ozon because it has more clients.
