Me too. Not the 2-1 against Barcelona, nor the clashes with Tottenham and ManUtd, this is the best Arsenal game to me as well. The long trophy drought ended that day. Can't described how much joy that was. And I love the players, too. Giroud, Santi, Rosicky, Kos, Ramsey, Jack, Per, Poldi... and Mr. Arsene.

I've said it since he arrived. Santi was our most important player in the last years of Wenger. Ozil was the icing on the cake and a brilliant player but it was Santi who allowed him to play so freely.

People talk about "ozil needed a better striker..!," " Play Ozil in his correct position" rubbish ..Santi Spent most of his Arsenal Career out of his preferred position(10) and still delivered ..even when he was pushed back ..he made the deep lying play maker position his own..! Freekicks, goals, Penankas, Game Control, Creative passes..he had it all..with a smile on his face! We sorely Miss him..!

@UncleMikeNJ Agreed, but with Emery, he didn't look like he was going to turn it around and build in the right way, we were better off with Arteta, the way it turned out. That said, I agree Emery was better than be showed that second season, just that the direction was not clear. I am always happier when I can see a plan even without results, but those shots conceded and the play was not sustainable, kinda like United with Ten hag this season. Good coach but hasn't balanced his plan and ideas with results.
