Let’s go Cody!!!!! Great way to start the new year!! Saving rocks like that!!! I love it making a fire in a shelter to keep warm, how many tens of thousands of fires have been in that shelter? The kids, awesome!!! The boys rocking a steeler hoodie!!! Let’s go!!! I had shoulder surgery two weeks ago so I’m out for quite a while!!! My buddy is supposed to come over today to drive me to my site today to scratch around after the rain but I’m just a surface hunter for awhile:(

Thanks! I'm mostly thinking about stuff that been tossed or kicked over the hill. Some spots you can think maybe they built something up against the shelter to expand maybe. Just all trial and error really got to move some dirt to really find out what's going on in a spot.

I my state I have similar looking rock formations. Is there a particular thing you look for in a site. Such as springs or creeks or certain rock formations. I have lots of quartz in my area. I've been trying for years to figure out how to locate sites in my area.

Almost every rock shelter I dug in I have found at least flint. If you got a spring close by should be good. Have to get out and dig just keep at it untill ya get on em. They are there I'm sure of it
