THANK YOU for the thought provoking haul!! I love you saying "things I use this for" because it helps me generate ideas in future. If you did a pantry or fridge tour going through what you have and what you typically use it for i would be so grateful!! More than any other person on KZbin the meals you choose are very similar to my family's taste and what we gravitate towards. I appreciate the ideas and variety and touching all the food groups!! ❤

A note on the homemade yogurt - my husband is Turkish and yogurt is a huge part of their daily diet. I was so desperate to find a similar tasting yogurt that I brought a tiny jar of my mother-in-law’s homemade yogurt all the way from Turkey to use as a starter, and I’ve been making yogurt with it ever since 😂

I actually love grocery hauls! I care a lot about what (and how) my family eats, and it is astounding how much time and energy I spend each week simply deciding what to eat and where to source ingredients. So yes, this is very helpful. I’d also love to see your meal planning process and shop with me vlogs!

I would love to see what you buy from your local farms or maybe even a shop with me if they have a “store” that they keep open year round. Grocery hauls, meal ideas, and making all your yogurts, bread and all that from scratch! 😍

Great video. I recently found your channel and videos like these are helping me stay focused and motivated while I am prepping my food for the week. Covid really helped us change our shopping habits and we really started to buy a lot more locally grown farm. I live in an area of southern Maine where I have been able to connect with area farmers. I buy a share of beef and a pig share each year thru local farmers. We also live near a market which is a food co-op for area farmers, so that's where I tend to get my poultry and produce. My partner works just a few blocks up from the waterfront in Portland so he is able to buy fresh seafood when we want to mix that into our meal plan. Don't get me wrong, I still have to get my ghee, coconut oil and shelf stable pantry items from Wal-Mart. Keep up the great videos. They really help.

My 1.5 year old actually LOVES steak which I did not expect. We get a 1/2 cow from a family member and it comes with a bunch of cuts of steaks. Well one night for dinner my husband wanted some steaks (I’m not a huge fan but he was cooking that night so he got to pick lol). He likes his more on the medium rare side and I like mine more on the medium well side and I was going to split mine with our daughter. Well she wanted absolutely nothing to do with my steak and ate almost half of my husband’s. She actually closed her eyes, sighed and said “mmmmmm” 😂

Do you have a video about organic foods on your channel? I've heard so many conflicting messages about whether or not organic foods are better for you, and I noticed that you tend to buy organic when you can. I end up going back and forth on the issue when buying food for my family. I'd say I buy mostly conventional produce because I have three teenage boys and our food budget is already through the roof! We're a vegetarian family so we don't have to worry about meat, and 2 of my kids are vegan. The only thing I'm super picky about is eggs - I just buy the vital farms pastured eggs from Walmart. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as a dietitian.

Thank for sharing! Just wanted to make you aware of a few things :) - the health aide kombucha is pasteurized so there is no live healthy bacteria, it’s basically just juice :/ also it’s sweetened with sugar, GT is not pasteurized and no added sugar, just real juice!! Also, Costco is using lab grown meat and I would stay away from that. They have no yet advertised it as such, but I have noticed (and many, many others on the internet) that it is stringy and clearly different. It’s much more expensive to buy locally, but way worth it in my opinion. Also just a little tid bit, I love that you use full fat dairy! Fat is necessary for so many body functions, including healthy egg production. Low fat dairy has been linked to infertility!

I second the GT being the best and only option i know on the market that is raw and no sugar!

We ask our butcher to grind majority of the cow into hamburger. If you get a half usually they will. Maybe not with a quarter cow if it’s being split with another family.
