You may complain about what he's doing, but Heimerdinger playing with them shows he has grown since season one. He was all about being efficient, doing what's best to survive, being very uptight, but his time with Ekko has shown him he's taken his words to heart: you gotta give people what they need to live. He's giving them all something fun to find a little light in their dark times. Yes, he did allow so much corruption to slip under his notice, but he's gone down there to see for himself and is now learning how to help in ways he can.

I think Viktor's "It was affection that kept us together" line was more suggesting that they were only kept together through their friendship, and not their partnership or ideals, and in the end that affection was not enough to keep them on the same path. I don't think Viktor necessarily stopped caring about Jayce, but he couldn't trust him anymore, and he's definitely changed through this.

It *could* be that he's stopped caring about Jayce. Mosco said he seemed 'cold' when he told Jayce goodbye, and Viktor seems to be a lot more distant in general now. But as Viktor himself said "cold is not it's name". Despite initially referring to how he was feeling in terms of temperature, it could have also been alluding to his personality, which might imply he isn't being cold or lacking care, but thinking more analytically.. like a machine.

I think he's in a survival mindset of some sort: he's caught up in events so much bigger than himself that he's losing his sense of identity, i think. That explains also the white mask from the intro, which i believe is more symbolic than literal. I think the more Viktor changes, the more he becomes a symbol, and sheds off all that makes him a regular human person. Emotions, attachments, wants, all gone beyond that of being a force of good for the world. I also don't think he stopped caring for Jayce, just that he doesn't believe it matters anymore that he does.

Some people feel this first act to be rushed, but here's how I personally see it... The first act in the first season went slower because it was introducing the characters, the world, and establishing the relationships within it. Since we have all of this established now, it only makes sense to go go go in this season. Besides, this is very accurate in how fast this situation would escalate. The capital of the city was blown to bits, leaving 3 councilors dead...it would be absolute chaos and things would be happening left and right. Just thought I'd say that. You can disagree with me if ya want but...honestly I won't be listening to any negative feedback, I really won't care. 💜

In season 1 we had a pair of establishing shots and songs to establish what life was like in Zaun In episode 1, it wasn’t exactly a nice place to live, but there was a sense of community, and the feeling that you COULD live there. In episode 4, it was still technically livable, but it had become a cesspool of drugs, sex, and indulgence Now in season 2 all we have are goons hunting down a child and Jinx walking down the street, and it’s JUST AS EFFECTIVE, just with that, we get the message that now, Zaun is a place where you don’t even want to EXIST IN

Can we all appreciate how the bomb Isha throws is the same one Powder was working on in her bed during act 1 of season 1, I believe she called it 'whisker', which she has apparently kept all these years and just like her other bomb from that time it doesn't work, just explodes in a puff of pink smoke. Unlike Powder however Isha, the Jinx wannabe, is able to actually use it effectively.

RE: budget and fight scenes and animation; Animation is not cheaper or more expensive, it's all labor and the organization thereof. Dynamic action is not inherently more time-consuming or difficult than walking or talking. If anything, big flashy action is so much more forgiving than subtle acting. As an animator, I am less impressed by a big blowout fight than I am a tight shot of two hands intertwining fingers. Counterintuitively, the something is the harder it is to animate. The biggest trick is that they had years to do this, having breathing room to get things just right is the rarest privilege in animation.

The gray (gas) is extremely toxic, and Zaun doesn't have good ventilation. That gas will 100% permanently injure innocent people (there are quick flashes of documents in episode one as to what the gas does to human body and it's not pretty)

Also the difference in this episode and the last, cait laid her mother to rest in a gold coffin that probably costed more than vi and jinx’s life combined, meanwhile, jinx in this episode, laid silco to rest in murky dirty water, can’t afford a proper burial if there even is one in the lanes. (I think this is actually silco that jinx to letting sink into the water, because the first episode was minutes after the collision of the bomb, so it’s possible this is how jinx laid silco to rest.

Good point about Heimerdinger. His fundamental problem seems to be that he doesn't really consider any problem to be urgent. Probably a consequence of his long lifespan. The most we've ever seen him react with any kind of urgency is in season 1, episode 2 and 3, when he is extremely insistent on preventing Jayce from creating Hextech. Showing just how terrified he was of the Arcane back then, that he felt he had to stop it immediately and forcefully.

In the League of Legends universe, which is made up of four "dimensions": 1. Void; 2. Celestial; 3. Spirit realm and 4. Physical in the form of the planet Runeterra, there are no infinity stones. But different types of magic and Rune = Runeterra. At the very beginning there was only the Void and the Watchers, but then the light appeared and a reality emerged that awakened the Watchers and since then they have been trying to destroy it. In reality, the death of Gray man/Pale man, which later becomes Kindred, two aspects of death, Lamb peaceful death and Wolf brutal death, appeared/originated. In the universe = Celestial Realm, the dragon of Twilight as Aurelion Sol created the stars around which the planets were formed. And later on, celestial beings and gods also began to engage in reality manipulation. The celestial gods created constellations that serve as predictions and guidance for people, and with the help of world runes they created the planet Runeterra in one of the regions, they pulled the mountain Targon out of the earth, which serves as the Gateway to the Celestial realm Targon Prime = "Universe". One of the Celestial Gods, for some unknown reason, later hid the world runes across the Runeters, which over time caused magical radiation, thanks to which Spirit Gods such as Anivia, Ornn, Volibear,... which reshaped the surface of the planet by ghosts, demons, and later created magical beings; Sky giants; Yordles = Heimerdinger from Bandle city which is in spirit realm; Vastayashai'rei (Shapeshifting Spirit race) + Humans = Vastaya Spirit Race and Humans and then Animalistic Humanoids races. Later, the Targionians people together with the help of the celestials created a crown for Aurelion Sol, whom they enslaved and thus became forced to listen to orders from the Celestial aspects to seal/destroy the void rifts with their Celestial fire. All of this is to serve as a defense shield against the Void and its watchers, who are trying to destroy reality by creating Void rifts through which void born creators and monsters can pass and which devour and destroy. Don't forget demons. They allegedly came to be at the same time when Runeterra was created, with Fiddlesticks, the oldest, most powerfull of them, being described in his lore as: "The terror of all living things, given life in that first terrible scream of creation. A demon before demons were known." Demons exists under different levels of power and order, with the most powerful embodying elements of human nature such as Obsession, Secrets, Frenzy, Delirium, Bliss, Joy and... on top of them all, the most primordial of emotion... Fear. They do not seems to be connected to the Void, since each demon has its own kind of personal goal and way of exist, so they are most likely shadows of creation and of humanity... a spiritual embodiment of those emotions, in line with the spirits realm's nature since Spirits can only exist as long as people believe in them, with entities such as Kindred himself not immune to this concept. Demons however, by embodying elements so primitive and deep rooted into humanity, are indeed virtually immortal since their "belief" is rooted into humanity...

And we still know little about the first 10 primary Demons. Because with certainty something about some with what we already know. 1. FiddleSticks, 2. Ashlesh, 3. {maybe Raum}, 4. [maybe Ramsasum],... I know the others like the creation of Rune Wars Evelynn & Nocturne / or we don't have that much info. And in reality there are only 5 primary emotions namely [Fear, Joy, Sadness, Anger and Shame.] So the other 5 theoretically: Secret, Change, Madness, Love, Inequality of mind and soul ["Raksasum" ].
