That was brutal by Poatan. Jiri looked like he was going to start crying. Poor guy I knew Jiri was toast when he claimed shamanic magic was helping Alex. He was still in denial about the outcome of their first matchup it seems.

The main issue with stoppages is the fact that it's pretty hard to find the perfect timing to stop a fight The fact that Goddard stopped Jiri from taking unnecessary damage in the first fight was so contested by the fans and the commentators that this time around Herb Dean allowed Jiri to take unnecessary damage As a brasilian indigenous dude it felt bad to see Jiri falling down and look completely lost after being KOd twice in the space of 80s and take gnp from the best power puncher in the history of the sport...

Jonny you're a legend and big up for the consistent video uploads. Top guy. Only problem is that thumbnail - if I made that my face my dad would ask me if I was trying to catch flies. Might be why he left the family unit all those years ago. You've brought up a lot of bad memories there Johnny, don't know why you'd do that to me.

When is comes to Pereira, the only type of people that can beat him in standup are elite kickboxers like Israel Adesanya obviously. When it comes to MMA fighters, you should only favour a guy to beat Pereira if this MMA fighter is some LHW version of Khabib or something like that, otherwise if it is some typical MMA striker that is going to generally stand and fight with Pereira then you should always favour Pereira in that. Jan gave him a close fight and if Jan was popular he could have won that decision, however they needed Pereira to move up the ladder for the title etc. Honestly looking at the LHW roster, I think Pereira would knockout Ankalaev (who is primarily a striker), I think he knocks out Hill again etc. I think he already fought his worst matchup in Jan and I don't think they will book that again, since Jan is the only guy at LHW in the elite rankings that has decent takedown abilities, that's how Jan beat Israel as well in fact. Outside of Jan, really no other top 10 LHW poses any threat to an elite kickboxer, because all the rest of the LHW's are primarily strikers. We are talking about Hill, Ankalaev, Walker, Jiri, Volkan, Rountree etc. What about HW then? Well that's just fake hype most likely. I know Jon Jones would fight Alex at HW and Jon Jones would obliterate Alex by taking him down and submitting him. However I don't think Alex and his team are dumb enough to go up there and fight Jones. As far as Aspinall, it really depends how smart Aspinall is in the fight game, Aspinall actually does have legit takedown and submission abilities down there, if Aspinall focused on that he would in fact beat Alex. However I feel like if Aspinall chose to stand and contend it in the standup, then it's really a coin flip in who would win. Alex does have enough power in that left to knockout HW's, I doubt it would KO Tom in one hit, but if it landed cleanly it would certainly wobble Tom and then after that it's game over. BTW I think Tom beats Jon Jones, but Jones won't fight him. I think Alex will stay at LHW because there are so many easier matches for him there. I think his next fight will be either against Ankalaev or a rematch against Hill. And I think he will finish either of those guys.

The mvp v Garry fight highlights a problem with scoring. Yes, Ian showed effective grappling in the 3rd, but Johnny, mvps equally effective grappling defence meant it was pretty much a stalemate. But defensive grappling doesn't get awarded points. Nor negate scoring from the opponent. Don't get me wrong, I think Ian won, but I certainly think that could have been a draw.
