Glad to see comments like this, because I've seen the exact opposite comment on other more "boring" chess channels that, don't get me wrong are still doing good, but their commentary style is just you know pretty monotone, quiet, no jokes, straight to the point, only talks about the actual chess and the moves being made. They say some channel's bring all that extra "fluff/nonsense" for chess entertainment and that the learning the chess and lines part is the actual fun part and you don't need this other extra stuff according to them:D And to each to their own I guess, but my Gen-Z attention span ass self can't concentrate for 30 mins straight wtaching only lines of chess without any jokes being cracked😆

Chess has become, who has the best memory of Stockfish moves. Carlson has a photographic memory. I'd say that's a big advantage.

Annoying when people say it's a memory competition because that just isn't the case. Helpful? Sure, but there is so much beyond memorizing theory. Also, funny that you used Magnus and not say Caruana(known for amazing theory knowledge/prep.) as an example as Magnus gets him and his opponents out of book at his earliest convenience the vast majority of his games.
