this song came about because they pledged that if the video for their song save our lives reached 990,000 views they would release a dance cover of a kpop song. they then became busy and 7/8 months passed but they really wanted to do the pledge they promised so instead they decided to do their own kpop song and dance to that instead, so they basically killed two birds with one stone, we got a new song and they also danced to a kpop song.

😂They kept their promise to their fans, and then some!! This was meant to be fun like eating cotton candy at the fair. Watching Mingyu rapping had me laughing out loud. He is so funny! They compiled everything from the suits, mullets, location, colors, and dance moves to be maximum retro fun. Never mind it’s their first “K-pop” song sung - in English! (Like foreign languages are hard for them…not!) Yeah, definitely a cotton candy snack for their fans. Despite all of that, they still can’t escape being the amazing musicians they are, and this turned out to be a great song and video. Have they sung the blues yet? Jazz? What other genres will we see next? They are so cool. ❤ Love Forestella!!

This song was recorded special for the fans, Forestella made a promise to the fans when their song " save our lives" hits 990K 👍 views that they would make a dance/kpop song just for Fun. I think its refreshing, funny and cool.

FORESTELLA's genre is "CROSSOVER and they are unclassifiable. This song is just another of their many facets. They constantly challenge themselves and surprise again and again. They jump from one genre and style to the next or mix, more or less strongly. And when they have decid on something, they give their best and it will be the best. This time it's an "excursion" into the POP world. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of this genre, but this song once again has that "certain something". The vibes are so driving and spread such a good mood. The dance numbers are amazing and the vocals are excellent as always. Although I like them better vocally without autotune and electronic distortion, but that's just part of the 80s. ( Unfortunately, much of the unique sound is lost here). I can't help it, I also think this song is first class and it runs and runs...

The song is very catchy and bright. And l love it. They are a crossover group. They are able to cross at any gere in music . There are no boundaries for them. I love some punky styles in the song too. For me it is far better than Despacito. Thank you for reacting it

Thanks for your support for Forestella. I don't think they hate cameras. They care about how they look on the cameras. They are deeply involved in using the visual aspect to deliver the song in a "right" way. In the behind interview of Inner Universe, I saw that they directed even the choreos. They monitor the fan-cams to check how they are on the stage.

Thank you for your honest reaction to Forestella! They had promised they'd give a Kpop cover dance for exceeding 990K views of Save our lives m/v. They struggled to choose a Kpop to dance, became to think making their own Kpop song with dance! As crossover works for all genres, Forestella did a great job for their fans. I liked that people confused Forestella like as Kpop idols because it means they look good and cool like idols. Now maybe people's gonna really consider them as Kpop idols, as they have their original Kpop dance song so catchy and KOOL! So fun to see 2 opera singers rapping with such a clear diction they should've studied very well for classical singing. 😂😂😂 This is the most "coverable" song from Forestella. Usually they make songs like no one else can sing it like them lol😂 I think even the original artists of their covers can't sing their cover as it is... I hope this song can be a chance for them appeal more to the mass.

Forestella does not have a "lead vocalist", according to the song some of the members gain more notoriety. Cho Min-gyu is considered "group leader" that's different.

I am glad that this was not the first song by them which I saw, I might not have been interested to know more about them then. But now that I know the reason for this song&video I enjoy it very much (my summer song for 2024) If you want to see one other original song by them which is probably more to your taste I would recommend Save Our Lives(this is the first video I saw from them and this made me interested in them) and then Utopia to you.

Please Nick Please do more Forestella. I personally agree with you that this is not their best work. For me (and my biases), this is a waste of talent. But I don't like KPop and prefer classical music mainly, so it's a matter of taste. Their versatility though, is amazing. Try Hijo De La Luna, Bad Romance, Despacito, Shape Of You, Champions or their original White Night. Time In A Bottle and Je Suis Malade are also brilliant.

Now let's see the superpower parts, in the Save our lives m/v each of them is representing an element like the Fire, the Water, the Air and the Earth. I think UTOPIA is the most representative song from Forestella. Those are parts of the trilogy under the World Tree concept. Save our lives- UTOPIA - KOOL (spin off) - ??? (Not yet released)
