I love this. People say that vegans anthropomorphize animals, because we recognize that they can feel. However, it is nonvegans who anthropomorphize animals; they just do it only in cartoons, animated movies, storybooks, and on the packages of dead animals sold as products. There's a disconnect between the animal characters we grow up loving as children and the real animals we support people killing for our pleasure. This video perfectly shatters the illusion that it's okay to do that.
@unknown_4rtist7978 жыл бұрын
lmfao all vegans are retarded, in the case of this video death from a bullet is much better then death from what some predator would of done. This is almost always the case with how humans kill animals. Simply put that's nature

Plotting out and building a gunpowder-based weapon is beyond surpassing the natural world. Besides, most ape species don't eat fish and eat primarily as herbivores. Natural selection is when you're too stupid to run away from a predator, not when you can't escape or survive the shot of a bullet.

I'm so happy I stumbled into this channel after it was in my recommended videos
Steve Cutts is an extraordinary artist with a strong sense of heart & justice toward the earth & animals. Animal rights are not only about ending hunting. Rights (1) requires the abolition of animal exploitation and rejects the regulation of animal exploitation; (2) is based only on animal sentience and no other cognitive characteristic, (3) Requires ethical veganism as the moral baseline & minimal standard of justice of the animal rights position as per philosopher Gary L. Francione. A morally just world would have no pets, no aquaria, no zoos, no fields of sheep, no barns of cows. That’s true animal rights. Non-human animals have a moral right not to be used exclusively as human resources, irrespective of whether the treatment is ‘humane’, and even if humans would enjoy desirable consequences if they treated non-humans exclusively as replaceable resources. We are talking primarily about one right: the right not to be property. The reason for this is that if animals matter morally - if animals are not just things - they cannot be property. A property item--a thing to use, eat & hunt--is a thing that exists completely outside the moral community. A "person" is someone who "counts" as a member of the moral community, as opposed to a thing, which does not. A moral community is the community of beings to whom we have direct moral obligations; the community of beings whose interests matter when we are deciding how to behave. True animal rights is the inclusion of all sentient beings into the moral community as moral persons. Toward moral personhood. That's animal rights. People are angry that Bachman killed the lion unnecessarily. She killed the lion because she enjoys killing animals. She likes it. And most of us think that that’s terrible. But, we kill and eat about 70 billion land animals not counting fish. There is absolutely no necessity. We do not need to eat animals to be healthy and animal agriculture is an ecological disaster. The best justification we have for imposing suffering and death on those billions of animals, many of whom have had lives far more hideous than the lion Bachman slaughtered, is that they taste good. We like it. So how exactly does this distinguish those of us who consume animals from Bachman? Think about that.

@@abandonedchannel7430 The only reason why there would be an overpopulation is that we are removing the natural predators so they overpopulate. Also we only kill the aged males so it dosent make much of an impact. Saying something is natural is not and never will be a moral justification to oppress, exploit, enslave and kill anyone(Animals are individuals since they are conscious sentient beings with emotions,etc.) What ever you like it or not, there will NEVER be any moral justification to exploit somebody else, even more when it's unneccessary. If you can live decently and healthy by not imposing your existence on other people there is no moral justification for doing so. Imo, hunting is ok, as long as you use discretion as to what animals you're hunting and you use what you kill. Trophies don't count as usage. Alan Higgins well meat has nutrients thats most plant good lacks like vitamin K and protein, most vegetarians need vitamin supplements to make up for lack of a complete diet, which isn't natural at all, hunting JUST for fun is fucked up, but if you eat the meat you hunt, that is humane because you can't eat down a whole population of any one animal, keeping the natural balance of nature like how it was designed to be
@f454119 жыл бұрын
viveutvivas viveutvivas in real life animals kill each other for food, since humans are omnivores, my body doesn't feel well if I don't eat meat, and vice versa for plants, i have never actually need any vitamin supplements in my life besides vitamin D, that's cause my work and hobbies are both indoors(not taking them any more), but other then that i am fine, i mean plants have nutrients meat doesn't, but that also works the other way around, it's only inhumane if tortured the animal for its whole life, nature didn't want this and neither do I, just wanna eat the meat, not destroy the soul

As someone who's close friend is a farmer i feel safe saying that hunting in itself isn't bad, eating meat isn't bad. However i agree that covering and making light of hunting in hte media is bad but all in all this video (just like all of steves) is blowing the issue way out of proportion.(apart from where are they now that rwally hit home)
