Ian, and all your regulars, don't faint with shock, I'm still alive.....just. Unfortunately my health has taken quite a drastic downturn since we were last in contact, best part of three years ago!!! My incurable illness is winning. I'll try my best before the end of the year to get a video out to say hello to everyone and give you all an update. A family member lives a little way from you, so maybe one day, if my health is up to it, I might even pay a visit to you in da shed, and we'll create some chaos and anarchy...sorry, I mean we'll have some fun and lots of laughter. After yakking in the first part of my comment, I saw a couple of tools that you picked up. The slasher, by Parker, MAY be a Yorkshire billhook. They are much sought after and sell for over £100. The Yorkshire billhook is different to other billhooks that were made many years ago. The traditional billhooks have a short handle, but the Yorkshire billhook is renowned for it's longer handle. The scraper could possibly be a tree bark scraper? I'm not sure, as I couldn't get a good look. If it is, again they have a good price on them. I also remember in many of your older videos, you had a billhook on the floor near your computer. Again I think that is a Yorkshire billhook. Put a long handle on it & you could sell it for over £100. Depends upon the makers mark/ name. ANYWAY, after waffling for a long time (you know I'm Welsh and I talk too much) best wishes to yourself, please pass my regards onto your wife & daughter. Also to all your regular viewers please wish them health & happiness, and best wishes & hopefully I'll be back before the end of the year. Many thanks, Matt.

My Dad worked for years for the Dept Ag for Scotland on estate maintenance and I have one of those "slashers" he used in my shed. He called it a "hedging knife" and used it mostly for tackling blackthorn. The one I have is a bit worn from use, but still gets an airing on brambles and thorns. His was made by Robert Sorby, so it's a quality item.

Loved that door knocker!😁👍 Think your blade tool is a Parker Billhook. There's one on ebay for about £40 but looks newer and not as good quality as yours mate.👍😁

That's interesting news about the plastic in UK Ian,maybe that explains what happened to me,not that long ago I asked in the scrapyard what the price for singles was and the manager said it was just the same as the price for household which was 1.70 a kg,this was when the copper price was better than it is now,I probably looked at him as if he was mad,as he then said 'Why not take it down another level and I can give you 6.39 for bare bright',I said I might do that and he looked pleased, so if plastic is an issue that would explain them giving me a 'we don't want it price'. When the price of copper was sky high I had taken in some household cable, and only got 1.80 a kg for it which left me feeling rather unimpressed.
