Believe it or not, but RM was actually born and raised in Korea! He actually learned English by watching the show Friends and using it to study 😂 so he just practiced the dialect until it sounded how he wanted his English to sound. He also helps the other members with their pronunciations and English words before award shows, interviews, etc... he's awesome!

And from listening to him speak english, you can tell that he's very intelligent. Every multi-lingual person knows the struggle of trying to find the word that holds the most accurate meaning to how you feel; you can hear him choosing his words carefully, and equally carefully putting them into sentences. I find this is most apparent in english interviews. (he and the rest of the guys are also very media trained. It's impressive and chuckle inducing to see RM just not take the bait hehe.)

Studying English while watching the sitcom Friends of RM is a way that all Koreans can empathize with. It is a common way to study English by watching a TV show or watching a movie like Harry Potter, but it is not easy to communicate successfully in a foreign language like RM in that way. Love your genuine reactions!! Army is amazing. I am 58 and disabled and have gone to 9 BTS concerts. At every single one, Army has been there for me to clear the way for my mobility device, open doors, help me to a seat, etc. I've never met a warmer bunch of people and I'm so proud to be part of this! Army is family. Period. I feel like a proud mom of thousands of young people! Also, I'm a Christian. We usually don't discuss our beliefs out of respect, but I'm gonna say it; when I see how Army treats each other, cares for others, defends others, all I can think is this is how Jesus wanted it to be. Pure love, acceptance, no hate. Beautiful movement brought about by BTS pouring their hearts into their music.

6:10 - Jimin is a contemporary dancer, so I think that's why he has a good posture and such an elegance about him (Although, somehow, he keeps falling off chairs.) *Jimin's birthday is coming up on Oct 13!* How about reacting to his solo stuff to celebrate? And since you don't mind doing long videos, maybe do a double reaction, like the MV for "Serendipity" and then the live performance? He's mesmerizing on stage. 10:33 - This is J-hope! He's recently featured on a song called "Rush Hour" by Crush. I think you're gonna like it. He also released a solo hip-hop/rap album called "Jack in the Box" last July as well as headlined at Lollapalooza later that month. It was the first time he performed without his BTS members, but he killed it. Many of us have watched his Lollapalooza performance multiple times, it was so good. 13:50 RM's accent changes into a British accent whenever he's near a Brit, like when BTS were a guest at James Corden's show, or when they visited England. Btw, I love your personal story, that your family spent time in Belgium and speak fluent French, that you're from Suriname.

RM is from Korea, he learned english from the show "Friends". He is highly intelligent, with an IQ of 148. They are all multi-talented, humble & caring. They genuinely care about helping people & they love ARMY. I love the song & video to Save Me. Spring Day is actually about the 2014 Sewol ferry tragedy. Most all of their songs have very deep meanings. Another good one is the live performance of Magic Shop & the 2020 MMA live performance. Thank you for giving them a chance. So many do not, & they are missing so much. An ARMY saying is that you find BTS when you need them the most.💜

50 year old ARMY from UK here! Love you singing along and letting yourself enjoy it. This one makes me jump up and dance, and I can't dance. They have a fortnight dance and a Minecraft concert 💜 I started with BTS in Sept 2020. My older daughter wanted to go to their Wembley concert in 2018 and I said no because I was close-minded to KPop. I so regret it now. My younger daughter then started listening to them in 2020 and was playing The Truth Untold while doing the washing up. I heard V's voice and fell in love with the song so she showed me a few songs and I liked them. But then she introduced me to their gMe show Run BTS and I fell in love with their personalities so fell into the rabbit hole. I watch them everyday because they have some content for every possible mood you have. If I need motivation I watch Festa Room Live 2021, Baepsae, Dope or Fire. If I need to calm down I listen to The Truth Untold, Stay Alive, Jin's Yours or Jimin's With You. For fun I watch a goofy video, listen to Run BTS song, watch a Halloween dance practice. If I want a deep story I watch the Bangtan Universe content, read a webtoon, watch Spring Day MV. They have everything. The surprise to me is that having never enjoyed rap/hip hop music much I love theirs and oftenusten to the 4 cyphers, Outro Tear, Ddaeng and Ugh. Their word play and beats are infectious. I could go on listing forever so I will stop. Last thing though, if you want to be totally blown away watch the BTS performances on MMA (Melon Music Awards) shows, 2019 for me is the ultimate performance by any artist ever.

Well normally I don't write comments because English is difficult for me but I like you very much, you remind me of a friend of mine that I haven't seen for a long time. I grew up listening mostly to rock music, at first I had a completely wrong idea of this group like most people, but I found out that they incorporate into their narrative ideas from the psychologist Carl Jung whom I admire a lot, his philosophy helped me a lot in life So I gave them a chance and I never imagined how much this group would mean to me, these people, the energy they give, the talent. I ended up discovering that they are much more than a band and I think that's why all their fans are intense, it can't be any other way, they are revolutionary in their way of doing EVERYTHING and I love that their very existence changes many paradigms. I really enjoy your reactions because I feel like I'm discovering them for the first time, again. And it's one of the most fun and enriching things that you can pay attention to today in music, I really think so. Sorry for the long comment, greetings from Argentina :D

I am a 53 year old married lady in the US, and I LOVE BTS. My daughter introduced me to them in 2019-2020 and now I am officially obsessed. I was first amazed with their dancing, and of course the singing is incredible. The more videos I watched, I have come to genuinely love each one of them as if they were my owns kids. I'll admit I have a tiny/huge crush on one of them... They are the nicest and most genuine celebrities I have ever seen. They are so humble and thankful to ARMY it is so refreshing to see. They have a ton of songs for you to react to, but sometime you should listen to their individual songs too. I love jazz and blues, so V's Singularity caught my attention right away. LOTS of people refer to it as "baby making music" but if you read the lyrics it is actually very deep and kinda sad. Enjoyed watching your reactions and hope to continue to see more!

ARMY like to watch reactors discover BTS because we want to see you fall under the spell and feel the vibe. That means YOU DO YOU! You can get hype, dance in your chair, pause a hundred times to talk about it or just gush. Cuz yeah, this *is* how every ARMY starts lol. Mind constantly blown. Absorbing their good energy and being so confused by it because they just make you feel so damn good and it's hard to explain. For me, the first kpop and BTS song I heard was the MV for Stay Gold...and I didn't really like it. But then I did get into kpop generally, and 3 months later I watched BTS's MV for Black Swan. AND DAMN. That one hooked me instantly. I spent the next few days watching HOOOOUUUUURS of BTS content because they were so addictively wonderful. And what's funny is that out of their 300+ song discography, I think Stay Gold still ranks in the bottom few for me, but I do "get it" better now. You want the heat? Watch the MV for Fire. Or better yet, watch a live concert performance of Fire. This medley of Dope, Baepsae, Fire, and Run us INSANE energy. Minimal choreo here, just pure hype. Though maybe you want to watch the MVs first? kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXvMdoiDg654grs (turn on the cc subtitles) And yes. Jimin is an actual angel. Voice. Face. Heart. Soul.

I fell in love with BTS through the Tiny Desk Concert when it first came out. Then, I watched them dance and that was it. I'm in for life. You should watch ON Kinetic Manifesto and the Black Swan MV to see whole new sides of them. Also, pay attention to the lyrics as they are so powerful. So much fun to watch you!

RM has 148 IQ, he is literally a genius. He taught himself to speak English as a child from watching Friends. Also they write and produce their own music, and have from the start, which was rare for K-pop. They have won awards writing and producing for others too, particularly Suga. Among the many musical records they have broken is youngest members of the Korean copywriter assoc. (RM and Suga) with hundreds of songs to their credit.

This was such a great reaction, I was smiling the whole time! Your enthusiasm is infectious, sing along as much as you want!! To answer your question, watching the Black Swan dance practice was the thing that made me think, “there’s something really special about these guys.” I have a dance background, and seeing them dance in a different style and truly tell a story through dance made me realize they’re way more than a typical boy band. Can’t wait to see what you watch next!! 💜

Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions. DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly. Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much. Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly. And dont get me started on their clothes, i mean Jiminie OMG i was just speechless and on a side note every members english has improved so much im just in love with it, also i love it when they perform with a live band as it just gives off another kind of vibe and its the best when they perform with a live band. Also the band behind them Is called ghost and they are the exact band that goes on tour with them

Fun fact why I think RM sounds American. He's been learning English by far the longest of the group and he learned English by watching the show Friends on DVD haha. He watched it all the way through multiple times, once with Korean dub and English subtitles, then in English with Korean subtitles and then lastly in English with English subtitles and he was pretty much fluent after that.

I had such a similar experience getting into BTS. I had never listened to music in another language before but was intrigued the first song I listened to was boy with love and then listened to a couple more and the song blood sweat and tears is what did it for me. For some reason after that one I was all in. I think you will be really amazed when you start to listen to their solo work. They are all so different but incredible in their own work it’s amazing the different genres and styles that do. I have also never listened to a group that pulls from so many different topics for inspiration. You really go down a rabbit hole with BTS. I discovered them during the pandemic when I was furloughed from my corporate job. BTS was my job for that 5 months lol

great reaction, i loved hearing your thoughts about them as artists! personally, i got into bts a couple days after their debut in 2013 when i was a freshman in high school; i saw a performance of "no more dream" and "we are bulletproof part 2" and while i didn't necessarily find the music mindblowing at the time, the lyrics and the passion they performed with instantly made me wanna support them in their journey. i never once anticipated the level of success they'd be reaching nearly a decade later! i've only grown more and more proud of the people and creators they've become as a group and invidivually over the years. amid a lot of the racism and hate they've recieved as they've expanded into the west, it is so refreshing to see how openminded you've been in embracing their art!

Later on when i actually got into their music I believe it was because of 'Black Swan' which is from their album 'Map of the Soul: 7'. We as a collective definitely recommend "Introduction to BTS The Bangtan 7", its a great introduction for new ARMYs and we always recommend it to reactors who find them. It introduces the talents and roles of each member, shows you their expertise and what they bring to the team. Some joined the team as a dancer, some as a producer, and it shows you how they merged all that together to form the most unique and bonded family. This is on the top of my list when it comes to recommendation! Another thing you might be interested as a R$B singer would be "Singularity", it is V's solo song in the album (They each have solo songs within some BTS albums, alongside unit and group songs). The lyric for this song was written by RM, which is the one that spoke fluent english in this video. Its a magnificent R&B song that reflect's V's taste in music

I saw a fancam of V dancing to their song "GoGo" back in 2018 and the song immediately got stuck in my head even though it was a short clip. I looked up the song and began listening to their album Love Yourself: Her. That album is one of my all time favorites from the group. I love watching live performances of any artist and BTS is one of the best live performers of our time (in my opinion). They are also really funny and I love to see their bond with eachother. I watched their shows BTS: Run!, In The Soop, and all of the BangtanTV (their YT channel) content because it's so entertaining. That's the story of how I discovered BTS and became their fan. (Jimin is my bias and Jin is my bias wrecker btw💗)

watched just three videos and you’ve become my fave reactor!💜 i absolutely love your energy, and i appreciate your honesty and your opinions so much. you’re so talented too!! your voice is really incredible and i enjoy it so much when you sing along to bts’ songs🥺 fun fact: spring day is known to be the song that all armys, regardless of what language they speak, can sing along to. the pronunciation of the words of this song is very easy and in few listens you will be able to sing it fully in korean! although i’m already amazed by how you managed to sing along so well even on the first listen, like wow! and to sound good doing it… i’d also like to point out my two of your favorite comments: first, you saying that jimin has the voice of an angel. of course, we all know how beautiful jimin’s voice is but for you to notice it and point out how angelic he sounds on your third ever listening to bts just blew my mind. you really know how to appreciate the good things! i also loved your comment about rm consuming american pop culture, and i’m surprised you managed to notice that.. he is fluent in english, yes, but he never lived in the us. he did exactly what you said: learned english by listening to the songs and interviews of his favorite rappers and musicians. ah i’m having so much fun watching your videos! please post more🥺

For me, I was first introduced to them through their Fake Love MV. The lyrics hooked me. I added the song to my playlist and went on with my life, though. Then their Boy With Luv MV dropped, and I was drawn in again. That led me to watch a couple interviews, and their personalities were very charismatic and captivating. Finally, I decided to learn their names so I watched an intro/guide video (the 2018 one from SUGA and Spice!) and that was it 😂 there was no turning back after that one.

DKDKTV has great explanation videos for some of BTS's songs, especially the rap line songs. Their lyrics can be so genius that it'll be hard for any non-Korean speakers to understand. I think if you react to one of their songs like Ugh or Ddaeng and then watch the DKDKTV explanation video that would be great.
