He is a master of wordplay, and the genius behind the content of BTS songs, along with the other 2 rappers (Suga and J-hope). Yes, they write most of their songs themselves.

After living together almost half their lives, 11-12 years, they function like a well oiled machine....they're so talented that they are able to just have fun....I'll bet they can read each other's thoughts, finish each other's sentences. I'm 65, but I am so impressed with their talent, brilliant songwriting, composing, producing, instruments, vocals, rapping, dancing and especially their message. I'm impressed that they were able to accomplish so much while still continuing their education...all have bachelors, 3 have masters and the rest are working on it. BTS is unique in that their Label, unlike other Kpop Labels, did not 'force' anything on them....they were given free reign and became successful through their own hard work and dedication...very unusual in the Kpop industry, which can be an awful business to be in. Labels have been accused of 'slave' contracts and fandom 'wars' have brought about false accusations and death threats....yet BTS persists. I think a lot of westerners overlook BTS for a couple of reasons first is the preconcieved notion that they are a typical "boy band" and they arnt. Second is that they sing in a different language which puts some people off.... almost all of their songs have closed captions so you can tell what they are singing. They are a Superstar group with every member being a Superstar artist in their own right. Everybody is so different in personalities but they worked hard to form a friendship between themselves that they bonded into a family. Also they dont have any egos when it comes to music and what is best for the group. They also support each other in everything they do always hyping each other. Im 69 and a grandmother and I considered it lucky that they found me they have changed my life for the better and make me try to be a better person.

When i used to watch american talk shows i used to see clips of bts interviews since 2018 but i never thought of checking them out but then covid came, our lives slowed down and at that time i saw a clip of bts and jimin caught my attention. Their company is always this detailed, but they aren't, when they don't want to be. The first rapper is RM. Their harmonies are always incredible. They've been doing this together for ten years. All of them have a custom mic color and (mostly) matching in-ear (I think JK's in-ears are sometimes red and blue instead of purple). The outfit coordination is more a function of their Big Hit team, I think, alhough they do have preferred colors (Jin likes to wear pink, for example, because ARMYs have told him they like how he looks in it). What impresses me (from a fashion perspective) is that they always manage to coordinate beautifully without being matchy-matchy (except in the very beginning, when matching was pretty much all they could afford).

It might seem like detail to you but with BTS, and their team, I think it's just second nature. Certainly when they debuted they weren't as polished as they are now. one of the members once said that if people listen to them without prejudices then they will like them. i'm just paraphrasing the actual quote here but this is what the core message was. i think one of the reasons we all like watching new people reacting to them is because so many out there are just like you - ignoring them for whatever reason for years, or having some stereotypical thoughts on them before that just made you not look and listen. i think that can be a very human thing, but what i love more is people giving them a chance and getting absolutely turned around. and the great thing is that when you check out bts you'll 100% turn around because all their work in every aspect (discography, lyrics, mvs, performances, the bond between members, their story, etc) is impeccable. the quality speaks for itself. and that's the greatest thing.

Each member has a custom mic with matching in-ears, and they change them out for new designs every year or so. So in this vid, the matching purple hair and green sweater are coincidence, but also YES, BTS and their team definitely *do* pay mega attention to little details. I loved that you own up to stubbornness keeping you from enjoying things in the past. We're all growing humans! I know many ARMYs will recommend into guide videos on BTS so you can get to know them better, but once you've covered the basics, I highly recommend watching xCeleste's video on BTS's hardships. When I was new fan, that video was a turning point in helping me truly understand their journey and what it means to be ARMY, which is fundamentally about supporting them and each other through good AND bad times. There are 4 main singers and 3 main rappers. However they can all sing and rap. They are fabulous! I am 66 years old and I am amazed by them. All their songs have meaning from money to mental health ( Suga suffers from depression and is very open about it). What sets BTS apart is how much fun they have together. They genuinely see each other as brothers and lived together for years. They've only fairly recently moved into their own apartments. Seven young men living in a tiny apartment and sleeping in one room as they did at the beginning should've been a recipe for disaster but their CEO Ban Si-hyuk gave them a way to settle disputes which made them stronger. You'll enjoy learning about them as people just as much as learning about them as artists.

This MV came out during all the lock-downs and it was their only way to "communicate" with ARMY. I liken their set to a living room. Omg… I went to the same situation.. 2017 a teenager was into BTS and was like nope no way.. they too cute and young!! I too old… but 2020 a co-worker told me to watch dynamite.. I was kinda hooked. Then when a watched the tiny desk concert and fell in love with them. I actually got to know their faces and their voices. Welcome to the Army! BTS' discography (300+ songs) has something for everyone. I enjoy the banger title tracks, but IMO the treasure is in the B-sides. I found kpop in 2010, and when BTS debuted in 2013, I fell in love. fell into the rabbit hole, and can't get out. If you need answers to any question, there will be an Army who knows the answer. I can totally relate to your ending comments. I feel like I was living under a rock for all the years that I had heard of BTS but decided to not check them out because I'm not really a fan of pop music. They are sooooooo much more. 💜💜💜
