I am becoming a miserable old woman, I realised some time ago that I loathe road races.. Too peoply, all that 'good running, nearly there shite' and well wishes thrusting jelly babies at you when actually I hate them.. Give me wine gums or nothing... But now I have taken against cowbells too.. Bloody noisy jangling... All this grumpiness means I now have to set my races in the middle of nowhere starting at 30 miles.. Less noisy exuberance and more miserable determination.. Yup 😂
