All of us sitting here sobbing tears of joy, not sadness. Em made it. He broke the generational curse. He made it out the other side and we got to see him live his REAL dream of being the dad he never had. Rap was a means to an end, an outlet. This was the goal, to create a life for his family where they would never have to worry, never have to wonder if they were loved. There are no doubts. Regardless of what someone might think of Em's raps, nobody can EVER knock his performance as a father.

Also *extremely well done* as a heartfelt letter from father to daughter! Can't think of a better one actually!

Not only is it beautiful and sweet in it's own right, but we have grown up with his music, and because he has always been so transparent, we have watched Haley grow up too. And bc Em has shared his father and mother's failings with us, and his fears of failing as a parent too, seeing him successfully get his daughter to marriage and motherhood just hits so good. He made it out that "trailer park", became a worldwide superstar, beat addiction, beat death, beat loss, and got his daughter, and his adopted daughters raised correctly. I can guarantee you he will find a way to let you know that he is with you on your special day... Weither it be a butterfly that won't stop flying around you , a bird on a wire that won't fly away for anything, a certain song that both of you loved more than any other gets played at a particular moment that made you think of him or that shit have involved you 2 like the father/daughter dance at the reception..... Anyway you get the idea.. my point is, just try to pay attention to your surroundings the day before and especially the whole day of your wedding. I promise you, he will let you know.... 14 years ago my mother passed away from breast cancer and a few other things... In the last 35 minutes of my life, she told me that once she was where she needed to be , that I would get visited by pairs of ( IN THIS EXACT ORDER BTW) cardinals, hawks and lastly crows because they were going to be leading her to her place in the afterlife... And sure enough , exactly 3 weeks to the day, a Wednesday morning, I was outside drinking a cup of coffee and smoking a cig before I leave for work,, 2 Cardinals fly into the hood of my work truck.... They sat there for about 5 minutes as I talked to them then at the same time they fly off the truck and pass my face so close I could feel the wind coming off their wings... Next visit was the following Friday.... I was about to get of the car to go home after work.. two hawks land on the hood and walk on the windshield then started flicking their wings, again the visit was no more than 5 minutes... The following Wednesday around 8pm I was putting my dogs in the yard... 2 crows were sitting on the gate door to my yard... One of them had a green string and the other had a little stone that was painted red andt was almost the same shape as the ruby in my moms "Mother ring" that all my siblings and I got her for one mother's day oh and green was her favorite color and the color of the clothing she was buried in.... They sat for almost 10 minutes as I talked to my mom, then they spread their wings, dropped the items squawked a few times and flew away.... I'll never be the same since that happened to me...

My wife said, "you need to see the new Eminem video." I watched it with my wife and three boys, and just broke. Cheers, Knox. You're so right about fatherhood. Mine are 4, 2 and 3 months, and I can rocket ship the 4 and 2 year olds to bed, but I am very aware of how limited time I have to be able to do that. Every night, when I'm home from work, tired, and short with the boys, that's one less moment of showing them the best of me. Always too busy pursuing my own desires that I burned my relationship with my two older kids. Now looking back, I see all was folly. This song still pulls the heart strings. My mother hated that i listened to Em as a child xause of his lyrics and his hatred for his mother she actually broke all my cds once. But years later after not talking she heard this song and thats something we bonded over in my late 20s. Im glad you did this!

Coming up on one year without my dad and this made me bawl my eyes out. My dad had his battle with addiction as well, but always knew how much he loved me and he was always there for me. Hailie probably won't wanna hear this more then once (right now) because no one wants to think about losing their parents, but one day she will absolutely treasure it. So touching.

I'm going through it with my 15 year old daughter right now because of teenager behavior and I look back at the days of her being little and it is so painful realizing how fast it went by.
