I read a comment somewhere that his Rocky costume was a subtle nod to Roky Erickson, which made that click for me. I cried during that song once again, but not as hard as when I was in the crowd those two nights. If you have Ghost, you have everything 🖤🤘🏻💀

I totally adored this film. I have seen it twice now. I was one of the 32 lucky fans who went to the Picturehouse in London on June 16 hoping to catch a glimpse of Tobias, only to be handed a ticket by a security guy - a lady had taken earlybird fans' names down, including mine, we didn't know what for... we were so shocked! I think Tobias wanted some fans to join in the experience. What a legend. I cannot understand how this was produced so quickly, with such mind-blowing results. I agree, the message is wonderful, especially for those of us who are struggling with physical or mental demons. If You Have Ghosts was so beautiful, in that regard. And the fabulous skeleton dancers in 'Twenties' made the song speak to me in a way it never has till now. Totally stunning.

It was a perfect experience. And not just the concert/movie, but also the fact that our local cinema went the extra step of playing the Impera singles in the entrance lobby and the hallways, the fact that they removed all ads and trailers from the video walls and just had pictures of Ghost. The audience was also so chill and respectful (which is rare in cinemas nowadays). The only weird thing was that 90% of the audience left as soon as the credits started - as if they're not even interested in the new song 😂

What did Tobias Forge gave us? That's the question i keep asking to myself after watching that masterpiece of a concert-movie. In the genre, this is the best I have ever seen, i didn't expected that. Because it's not only a perfectly recorded concert, it's more than that. I loved how they implemented the story of the band in the movie, and the way it's made doesn't affect the pace of the concert, it's brillant. Also, it's amazing to see our favourite papa directly in the eyes, and that lead to what i loved the most : the emotions. They succeeded to cross the screen, i felt like i was during a live concert. But the side effect of this, all those close up, makeus really emotional, a lot of people cried during the movie, me the first. Something impossible to restrain, because the end was coming for Copia. Then, there was all those little pieces of philosophy, and all that kindness that was piercing through the mask, something so deep and so strong that nothing could hide it. I don't want to spoil, but there is a special message for a certain category of people, and it was said in such a beautiful and kind way, it hit me directly in my heart. Tobias forge deeply love his public, and he gave us the most beautiful movie made for a metal band, the critics are raving, and it's well desserved, this is a piece of art. All the video of the story of ghost are assembled in a fantastic puzzle, everything makes sense now. The movie will please every kind of people, even the profanes of the ghost universe, but for the old fans, it's simply amazing, the communion is Real. Thank you for that beautiful gift, thank you for making our life more beautiful ♥️.

Good to hear your thoughts. I checked back a couple of times to see if you’d be reviewing the film. I enjoyed both the film and your review. I’m a fan of both the music and the lore. Tobias is truly an artist and has created something special and thought out. I wonder if he was inspired to introduce the idea of twins because he is the father of twins. It was an interesting twist and agree with what you said about how the twin might be, like the story of Remus and Romulus and the founding of Rome. I’m looking forward to the reveal. I’ll check back for your thoughts on that.

I saw Papa’s Boxing Robes symbolic of his predicament. It’s mentioned he thinks he deserves to stay around cause he’s worked the hardest and done the best. He’s fighting for his title and is willing to defend the position he’s earned and damn he’s gonna be around for a third album! Kinda hard to argue he’s not the best or at least Tobias’ favorite

They could go two ways with Papa V. They could just introduce an identical twin and go on in a mostly business as usual way. Or they the twin could be Father Jim Defroque from the "Jesus He Knows Me" video. They put in so much work on developing that character. From the fake call in show to the music video, it seems like he was intended for more. Plus, he's around the right age. The only question is, can they convert him in a way where he ends up with a mask as Papa so Tobias can play him.
@AndyCrimson3 ай бұрын
Ommg! Didnt even think about that!
@JasonAllen3 ай бұрын
This is my favorite theory, also if Jim Isn't Papa V, he's likely part of The Clergy. Another theory I like is that the twin could be a girl. We didn't see their faces except as newborns in the flashback. Also, Cardi sobbing over Seester was hilarious.
@OkByeNw3 ай бұрын
@JasonAllen at the end of the day, the new Papa still has to be played by Tobias, so I can't see them bringing in a Mama Emeritus. Father Jim Defroque is my theory but I'm still not sure how they will get that character in a mask so Tobias can play him.

With what you said about how there might be like a sibling/twin rivalry, goes along with my theory on what his twin's name is. My theory is that Copia's twin's name is Vero. Copia is translated to "Copy" in English from Italian and Vero is translated to "Real" in Italian too. So, it's very possible that his twin was the first born, and could have this jealousy factor going in and feels like Copia has taken a lot of credit for what Vero has accomplished first. Or it could be just a fun rivalry that could happen, but I do think they're going to have way different personalities but have more suave similar to Secondo. Terzo and Copia I can argue are similar in charm and personality; plus they both have officially had issues with their shoes and had to get new ones.

I saw this. I wanted to hear more than I'd heard on the radio and see if I'd ever wanna go to a show. As Ghost seems to be a very hyped band these days. I can say the musicians are top tier players and they make what they do look easy. Their sound makes me think of a blend of ABBA and Metallica. Pop leaning, yet heavy in parts, but some songs are lullaby like to me too (there's lots of keyboards at times). I actually dosed off a couple times during the movie, but the movie is pretty long and I was tired going in. There were more fans than I expected where I saw the movie, mainly because country music fans are abundant where I live. I did talk to some fans on the way out who said they traveled a ways to see the movie though. I noticed a lot of female fans and some couples, and like those in the movie, couldn't tell if the guys were fans of the band or there to support the girlfriends. But the fans were quieter than I thought they'd be as well. The fans I spoke to said the movie was very much the same show they'd seen in concert. So I'm glad I saw the movie instead, cause it wasn't really my cup of tea in the end.

Whoa whoa whoa a little SPOILER warning would have been nice! Haha well at least not for me I saw the movie opening night first showing. But ANYWAYS yes this movie was absolutely great! Like you said blanketed all the fans and gave us all something to make everyone happy in the end. I was lucky enough to attend Tuesday night ( Friday night ) at the forum and that night there was an over the speaker announcement that thanked and explained in a non spoiler way the reason for the no phone policy of the show. It was in an east coast accent and was a bit silly but firm. They did not want the moment ruined and encouraged fans in attendance to live in the moment. Which at the time we would have never guessed a “rite here rite now” theme but that night in LA it did have that feel, be here now in the moment and soak it all in.

Hope to take him to a real Ghost show one of these days. When i was growing up we had local bands playing at the veterans' hall once a month and everyone would go rock out. I guess that doesnt happen anymore. You either pay high-dollar to go see a national act or you have to wait till you're 21 to see an up-and-coming band at a bar. If we're going to pay high-dollar i expect a high-dollar show and there's only a handful of bands that pull that off. Ghost is one of them.

I saw the movie on Thursday with my daughter. I was actually a fan of Ghost for several years and actually got my daughter into them. I was initially a fan of their music but have since been sucked into the lore as well. There was one thing I noticed that I don’t think anyone else at the movie picked up on. At one point when Papa was backstage the camera panned to the backdrop for a quick second. The backdrop has so much in it if you really pay close attention to it. What I noticed was that the camera focused directly on a picture of a Papa that wasn’t any of the previous Papa’s. I pointed out to my daughter and she saw it but didn’t pick up on it. The way Ghost is always dropping hints in their videos like showing the cardinal in the square hammer video, I wonder if that was a sneak peek at Papa V.
