I went to phase 1 in Appleton , I agree Wisconsin is pretty. But that wind is bitter cold. My favorite so far is western North Carolina into Tennessee appalachians. I lived out west and loved it but that are is a close second to out west. Have you found a way to dim the ELD? It drove me nuts on my trainers truck at night sleeping.

That's awesome, Charlie! I was really nervous too. After the first day, I felt a lot more relaxed. You meet your fellow trainees and the instructors. It's pretty laid back training. Let us know how it goes for you. I would recommend studying your pretrip and doing the jj kellers in your free time. And then just relaxing the rest of the time at the hotel or at your home. How long are you contracted with Roehl before u can drive for someone else ?

@hotdamn1115 you can break the contract at any time but you will owe them $7000. Otherwise you have to drive 120,000 miles for them to complete the contract.

@@bluegrassoutdoors If we had God in more school and in everyone's hearts, the United States would be in a better shape. The program is going great, pre trip, incab and air brake test is all memorized. Modules are done. Did my first drive yesterday, was the only one who wanted to go on the freeway. Prayers are definitely working and I feel like it's part of God's plan. Definitely miss my wife and kids, hoping these next 2 weeks fly by and I pass my test, lord willing!
