Marvin was a terrible therapist though, his son figured out what was wrong with Bob before Marvin did.

Orion Atlantai maybe Dr. Marvin transferred that talent to his son. Genetics.

I just LOVE how TOTALLY disinterested Dr. Marvin looks! Basically sums up his character, respect to Richard Dreyfuss for pulling this off especially when you consider Bill Murray is also in the scene
@jedisentinel14992 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree. He’s actually playing the role of therapeutic psychiatrist perfectly. Egotistical? Yes. Sincerely wanting to help? absolutely. But keeping it professional.

Funny when Bob tries to tell Dr Marvin that he left his ex wife for loving Neil Diamond, and Dr. Marvin assumes (the obviously much more likely scenario) that Bob's wife left him for being a constant obsessive nervous wreck, which Bob definitely was the first part of the movie. But Bob really turned himself around and became much more confident, centered, and stable, except how he just couldn't see how badly Dr Marvin wanted to get rid of him. One of the big plot transfers of the movie was how Bob got alot better as the film progressed and Dr Marvin got alot worse, like they kind of switched places.

There was a Seinfeld episode like that. George’s life quickly improved, while Elaine just struggled.

WHY? WHY DID YOU MUTE OUT THE CUSS WORDS? THAT'S WHAT MADE THE SCENE FUNNIER?
@arserobinson711810 жыл бұрын
I know, a scene with a joke entirely dependent on imitating tourettes syndrome and the asshole who uploaded it cut out the swear words. they basically cut the punchline to the joke.
