I’m gonna be honest, while I believe that Ubi put their best efforts into this game, and it shows, enemy AI isn’t looking great and some killing animations break the immersion for me. I just hope the final release will really be more refined as this is a beta. Other than that, it looks gorgeous.

Parkour looks awesome so far, stealth looks great (apart from the fact she seems to never shut up) There was literally no need for Yasuke in this game. Im not even saying that as a hater, they genuinely could've avoided so much, its almost like they only added him to piss people off... The only thing that has bothered me with the past 4 games is the filler/abundance of copy paste animation cutscenes. A2-ACS is a great example of how to tell a story in an open world game, make it interactive and immersive. Not four npc standing in a circle waving their hands around. Yasuke should have been playable in specific story missions tbh. His appearance and playstyle is incompatible with our usual play style. We usually get into open combat, run away, hide and become anonymous (or annihilate enemies) in most AC games. Yasuke is a foreigner who looks nothing like Japanese people, he can only become anonymous if the Japanese NPCs collectively suffer from post combat amnesia.

The more gameplay that comes out it solidifies the fact that Ubisoft should have just been confident in theit female Shinobi assassin and made her to one and only protagonist. She fits all of the classic assassin main character check boxes. I get it they wanted to have two play styles Shinobi and Samurai but they should have either went about it the Ghost of Tsushima way and created a character who has both playstyles, start out as a Samurai and learn Shinobi ways or had Yasuke just be an AI companion and later either do a DLC to play as him or a smaller spinoff game of him the size of Mirage.
