This was an excellent video! I learned most of this the hard way, using a lot of trial and error, frustration and ruined projects. I don't have a Juki - yet - but am saving my money. The information you just provided will also help if, like me, you can't upgrade just yet. I mostly sew garments and use a basic entry level machine but fell in love with bag making. All of these tips and accessories will get even the basic machines to perform far beyond what they were ever meant for. I've taken mine to its limit and now want the extra stability, power and precision a Juki TL provides.

This is a very helpful video. I love my Haruka. What do you recommend for a 1/8 inch topstitch on vinyl/faux leather, especially around curves? I have tried the 3mm hinged zipper foot as well as the smooth teflon foot. Both look great on the straight lines but when I got to the curves...not so much. Advise appreciated.

Any suggestions for working with two layers of TPU vinyls? I can’t seem to find the correct tension settings when working with a Tex 45 thread. Underside is loopy. I’m using the smooth foot. I have the Juki tl2010q. Any assistance is appreciated!

Thank you for all of the useful info! I love sewing with my zipper foot with vinyl. It works better than my regular or my foot. When I ordered it, I thought I was ordering the Teflon one since it was so slim. This video was informative not only to bag makers but to people using different materials for the projects they are making. I love my topstich needles. When in doubt use a topstitch needle, but watch the size of the needle to the weight of the material. The roller foot is interesting and something i do not have and would like to try.
