Put the sponsons on setting 3 before my first ride last week. What a difference compared to the stock sponsons! Per you suggestion I move them to setting 4 before my ride yesterday morning. WOW! Was cutting through 2-3 cross-chop/20 knot winds (Narragansett Bay) with no misdirection (hunting) at all. Got into a quiet cove and did some hard turns. Again, WOW! Thank you for all the helpful information. Worked as advertised.

Interesting you brought up the camber of the backing plates. I am guessing the advantage of more camber is less drag when going straight when all else is equal. It would also product more lean in turns. Is there any correlation of camber of backing plates to the hull chines?
@watercraftjournal2 жыл бұрын
Um, not so much. Drag is drag in a through line. The negative camber angle operates best when leaning into a turn, wherein the angled plate is effectively vertical, acting as a skeg in the water. The hull's ability to track is directly correlated to the strakes, while the chine edges (or lack thereof) dictate the craft's ability to roll into a turn.

Would you add the sponsons to a wakepro?. Would it increase your wake size?. Is there a way to increase wake size?
@watercraftjournal2 жыл бұрын
We’d add them for ride quality not to make a larger wake - they don’t do that at all.

Yo Kev! Great video Man. Is it worth putting sponsons on a GTI 170, or not really worth it for that hull ? Cheers 💪💪
@watercraftjournal2 жыл бұрын
Not really no. There's nothing wrong with the hull itself, it's just you're not seeing the speeds to render any sort of traction effect.

Would you recommend these on the 21 gtr 230?

Not necessarily. The GTI hull is very forgiving and enjoyable.

What are the best mods for performance on a 22 rxp-x and to make it louder?

Making it louder doesn't improve performance. It just makes everyone else hate you. :D

Really nothing in regards to exhaust. The exhaust flow isn't what's restricting your PWC, but the tune and intake of cool, dense air. We've given PLENTY of tips and tutorials on recommended modifications for beginner level performance.

Yes, it's a small O-ring gasket that needs to be replaced. Call your dealer and schedule to bring it in.

But its ergoloc that's not supposed to happen. Lol I ride a gp1800 tried a rxpx300 this summer. I felt it was very tough to ride.

Exactly Kevin's point. In the "how to drop a knee" video he states that the Sea-Doos DO NOT want the rider moving around, while the Yamahas reward it.
