We had a lion whisperer here in my own country he worked, played, fed the lions from birth, he said unfortunately you have to boss them to control them, he was sad about that. One day one of the lions turned suddenly and killed one of the people that also worked with them. THEY ARE BORN HUNTERS AND THIS CAN NOT BE TAKEN FROM THEM, he said when they lick you they are tasting you, leave them alone in the wild where they BELONG to do their own thing. Humans are humans and I thought we were much, much smarter but I think Humans are stupid trying to domesticate such creatures and now lions are on the endangered list, because deep down we fear them. LEAVE THEM ALONE.

@@K4242-r6l our ancestors did this with wild dogs and wolves and then thanks to evolution we have dogs, they also did the same with ancestors of horses cows cats and pigs, they were all wild animals but we domesticated them, we could do the same with lions probably, but it would take many generations also they are in the verge of extintion because of poachers so it's safer to have them in captivity

I'm amazed by how well he understands the lions (not just knowing) and the lions reciprocate that. Point to see, when he called Bobcat (?) and he immediately ran towards him, fully understands that it is time for them to go home. When Gabby was moody because of the small fight, he knew he need to backaway a bit despite their bonding. Gabby was clearly saying she does not want to be bothered. I read a comment someone saying he's treating the lions like a pet. He's definitely did not treat them like a pet. While it is true he fed them, but he is trying his best to understand them and allow them to be what they are. I think it is important to note that the lions are only comfortable with Kevin and maybe a few other sanctuary keepers (the growling etc etc). A pet is conditioned to expect humans will treat them like their owners. But not with this lions.

Makes sense. But am almost certain most people that do own an account and view this account don't bother to like it up. If only Kevin's subscribers alone would like it up it would make a huge difference. The main point is that it saddens me how people with little content on youtube can garner millions of viewers and support when channels that actually make a difference to humanity and the world do not. Pitty.

funny how some people comment how nice and great it is to be able to have this connection with lions and don't get me wrong it is but it's because we are watching this from behind a screen. most of us would crap our pants in the wild with these lions. it takes a lot of time and discipline and studying their behavior in order for them to trust you so much respect to the lion whisperer

4:54 I think Bobcat smacked Gabby's tail first. That is why she was so upset. And it looks like Kevin was scolding her, which was not fair. 6:12, looks like they are giving each other the cold treatment.

she just wasn't really happy to be back in the cage. he stayed away from her when he got in because he could sense she was unhappy, but he was coaxed closer so the door could be closed. that's what started it. so when they got back he did what all men know instinctively to do, get away from her until she decides she's not unhappy anymore.

@bigheadhammer58868 жыл бұрын
no i disagree. animals act on instinct. they live in the WILD cause they are built to survive and kill. this shit right here is very very special. but one little misunderstanding with the beast and the guy may be eaten alive
@aqwlegends8 жыл бұрын
+BIG HEAD HAMMER No. First off, these Lions aren't "Wild" they have been raised inside enclosures all their lives, since they were cubs and Kevin has been with them all those years. (Hence the Lions consider him as family, no bullshit like, "this shit is special" This guy interacted with these lions daily ever since they were cubs.) Secondly, if these Lions were somehow to be released into the "Wild" as it were. These Lions would most likely not survive long, as their "instincts" as it were aren't used enough. (They are given food, they don't hunt) Their senses of smell, and eyesights etc. It's just that if they consider a human as part of their family they will, most certainly will not attack with malice and anger on purpose as long as you act appropriately in their eyes, as in act "lion-like". Now, YOU might be misinterpreting how Lions play with each other. When Lions play with each other, they don't hold back. They use the full force and weight of their entire body. Now...to other Lions, this kind of "forceful" playing is virtually harmless to them. BUT, to a human whom they consider part of their family it will be lethal, because they don't realize that humans are fragile. TL;DR: It wouldn't make sense if you didn't read it whole.
@pabloavero37898 жыл бұрын
BIG HEAD HAMMER No, I think your misunderstanding reality. The days of animals being unable to think and rely upon instincts alone are done. Man has now seen endless examples of animals and humans being together as one. They think, socialize, have structure and adaptation skills. Can learn on the fly and most of all seem to understand when humans try to help them. Like anything in this world you need understanding and trust for things to be successful. The mindless instinct days are now instinct themselves thanks to these people who show us it can be done.
@survivorkitty34878 жыл бұрын

Honestly, why would someone watching this specific video click on the "I dislike this" (thumb-down) button? I'm looking for a legitimate answer. There has to be a reason and I'm dying to know. I'd even accept "I'm just being obnoxious and felt like being negative" as an answer. Was the video too long? Too short? Didn't like the music being played? Didn't like Kevin's commentary? Didn't like the quality of the video? Wasn't as good as other 6:48 videos showing a man side-by-side with Lions, while guiding a group of tourists? Didn't like the title or the summary? Didn't like how "REALLY" was in all caps in the title? What was it?
